My Reviews

Crude Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Althought the functionality is great and highly needed...
- No customization options at all
- The flash icon in firefox status bar does not show if it is disabled or enabled (come on!)
- Clicking on the icon triggers a notification. This notification would be superfluous of the icon would change color depending on the state of flash. Clicking the icon 6 times in a row will generate 6 consecutive notifications (flash enabled,disabled,enabled,etc.). Since the Ubuntu default for the notification duration is 10 seconds, you will have useless notifications for 1 minute.

Pixel Perfect

Essential but feels uncomplete. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is an essential plugin but the quality is noticeably lower then other plugins (such as firebug). It still feels Pre-Alpha, although thankfully it wont usually crash your browser. The UI is a bit ugly and limited - it doesn't resize properly with Firebug, If you use it in more then one tab it starts behaving in weird ways, sometimes even requiring a browser restart. For a time the PixelPerfect tab even went blank. Yet I still have to find an equal, free alternative. As I said, this tool is essential, and also popular I guess. It's a bit deceiving and appalling that it's limitations have not been improved yet, and it's been a while.

Pixel Perfect

Lacking Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I dont know if its my combination of Firefox/Firebug/PixelPerfect, but here, when I refresh the page, the pixel perfect layer comp gets deselected, and I have to select it again to make it visible!
Because of that, if I want to use an overlay, Id rather make myself one as a transparent Div or a faded background image, so that I dont have to keep reactivating it.
Besides, as opposed to other firebug tabs, the Pixel Perfect tab never displays a scrollbar, despite its contents overflowing. Why?
My verdict... hasty implementation for something that could be useful, or at the very least be a cool extension to have.

Some artifacts on ubuntu Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I got FF3.0.14 on ubuntu 9.04. With Compiz enabled. When i launch a second instance of firefox, a new window begins to appear (with the compiz effects for the window showing), then the window immediatly closes (again with compiz window close effect rendering) with a new tab appearing in the existing firefox window. So, it works, but pretty ugly and inefficient on linux (because of the "ghost" window appearing then disappearing), so I uninstalled it. It may work well on windows or other systems though.

i hope this will be completed Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Does it work with vista? Because the whole glassy border disappeared. I still kinda like it though, if only it were possible to move the window around normally and to have rounded corners, then firefox would feel kinda itunes-ish and thats nice

Feed Sidebar

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

the concept is great. simple, and it works. All i need, nothing more.
if only the popup notification feature would work. For some reason I dont seem to get any sort of notification for new feeds, i have to open the sidebar every once in a while to see if theres anything new.
Also, please fix performance issues. Although i only check 2 feeds and it doesn really affect me, i dont like having unperformant resource wasting addons in my browser. ill keep it for now though. serves me well.
