I'm stumped - the "latest" version of dedup that works for me is .17 !!
Anything after that does not work at all!
However, I am using Pale Moon (optimized Firefox clone) browser, version 19.02 (later version of THAT does not support Tab Utilities as of this post).
No big deal - I just keep usin the old version of dedup. lol
Unless I am going inSANE, deDup seems to work fine, unLESS I have 2 different bing.com/maps/..... tabs open.
The directions & addresses are definitely different bewteen the 2 tabs, but the deDup button comes up anyway to my surprise. lol
If if click it, 1 of the bing map tabs disappears.
Perhaps this bug is because of the insane LENGTH of the 2 bing map addresses?
I have moved the deDup button to the MENU bar, so that I could close the Add-on bar for more space on my monitor.
Happy New Year Guys!
After much experimentation I think I have a fix to this add on screwing up Adblock Plus!
I am using firefox 9.0.1 windows XP.
The "sister" add on, "Tab Progress bar" is incompatible with recent versions of firefox, so we are stuck with this add on.
After you install it & if you see the "ugly blank line" in the Tools drop down box & you can no longer access Adblock Plus options from there or its toolbar icon, try this:
REMOVE (not disable) BOTH Adblock Plus & Progress Bar on Tab , close firefox & restart.
Next readd just Adblockplus & restart.
Next readd Progress Bar on Tab & restart.
Both addons should work properly now.
If not, remove ALL your add ons (note what ones you are using!!), & to be sure, add 1 at a time, making sure you add adblockplus 2ND to last, & progress bar on tab LAST.
Last resort, reinstall firefox (keeping personal settings) & try the above again.
Both addons work fine on my pc for a few days now - not sure if the bug will reappear. lol
Note I am also using these addons (HIGHLY recommended!) with firefox 9.0.1. :
Paste Email (original)
Tab Counter (when the count gets in the high teens, time to get rid of some tabs or firefox starts slowing down lol)
Tab Utilites LITE.
In options for Progress Bar On Tab, it's best to position the progress bar on TOP of the tab & use the DEFAULT style.
In options for Tab Utilities Lite / tab closing, do NOT check off Background (don't use background color), else you might not see the progress bar!
Ideally, I wish the progress bar was not so thin & shaded the whole tab as it progressed, but I guess I should not look at a gifthorse in the mouth. lol
