Does not work for me with Firefox 3.6.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.1).
Perhaps I have missed something about this add-on, but it does not appear to work with FX 3.0.6 at all.
I have rated the add-on only because I am required to do so to post. The low rating reflects the current non-working status, not the concept. I hope the developer will work on this. At the present time, I am still using Paste and Go 2 even though it is supposedly not compatible.
I am unable to understand why the developers of the browser continue to fail to incorporate a number of basic features such as this in the browser from the outset. In my view, their inaction makes the browser less desirable to the many potential users who are unwilling to become involved in the process of installing add-ons.
(Firefox 3 for OS X) I was unsuccessful in getting the changed max version file to install. After editing it and zipping it. I changed the name in Get Info to get arid of the "Folder.zip" leaving the original name. Firefox recognized the file, but it did not appear to install. It also killed the "Restart Firefox" item in the File Menu that MR Tech Toolkit installed.
I do not understand why this feature is not in the basic browser. It is so very useful.
Edit: Many thanks to all, especially Xenon, Inc for posting a work-around. I am now happily using Paste and Go 2 again!
I also found this post which may also apply to other addons without having to edit the maxver file. http://lifehacker.com/355973/make-your-extensions-work-with-the-firefox-3-beta
The ability to remove a password is essential, but it would be great to have the ability to manually add a password to deal with those sites which, for some reason or other, do not trigger the pop-up to add a password.
This add-on is essential once you have more than a few passwords...it should have been in the basic browser from the beginning.
this add-on, while highly useful, would be even more useful it it also had the option to export or copy as plain text into a word processor in the manner of Password Save which the author has, unfortunately, discontinued development of and references this add-on. That way it would be possible to easily print out a hard copy for use elsewhere or to store as yet another backup...it is a real pain getting lost passwords recovered for many vendors.
Thanks for a fine add-on!
