RequestPolicy Continued

RequestPolicy Continued : "Allow requests..." at temporarily allowed destinations? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hello.
If you temporarily allowed one destination you got the following optins afterwards:
"
Stop allowing requests...
Block all requests...
Temporarily block all requests...
"
BUT what if i want to keep this permission permanent for one destination?
Yes, you can klick "Stop allowing..." and then reload the page and then click "Allow requests..."
This is not convenient and could be more user friendly :)

Would'nt it be fine to add also here the following option
"Allow requests..."
at temporarily allowed destinations?
So you spare a lot of clocks by testing out many sites :)

greets

ps: or did i missread or overlooked something ?

RequestPolicy Continued

RequestPolicy Continued: blocks other addons Rated 4 out of 5 stars

hi
Your Firefox Addon RequestPolicy blocks nearly everything. Nice!
But also other addons, like grabanddrag. If you don't know this you can't use this extension :(
http://oi63.tinypic.com/2wnzdea.jpg

And i thought why grabanddrag does not function... Hell!^^

Problem: There are destinations (which are Addons) you do not recognize as such.
For grababddrag it was good to see cause it has the same name, but other destinations are more cryptic and so one could not see and solve problems with addons...

This has to be solved.
Perhaps you make a extra section for blocked Addons?
Then with clear names :)

thx :)

User-Agent Switcher

User Agent Switcher: Default UA-Button to the top Rated 4 out of 5 stars

hi
nice addon! Looks very pretty :)
The Radio Button "Switch to default User-Agent" lies to low at the bottom of all. This causes too much nerving Mouse movements :)
Could this Button not be set at the top?
I think it will be clicked the most of all :)
thx

Graphics adjustment Rated 4 out of 5 stars

hi
you could show the directing text-link of blocked urls instead of your red flag or beneath your flag so one could see where it would lead to :)
Now one has to move the mouse pointer over the blocked element to watch the url behind it, thats not userfriendly enough :)
thx

RequestPolicy

easy and fast Rated 4 out of 5 stars

good job :)
perhaps in the dropdown menu below the option "revoke all temporary permissions" add the new option:
"make all temporary permissions permanent".
This would be practical cause one makes temporary tests with a page and if good you have to klick everything once again with nerving reloads...
thx

Firefox 42 Update: lost all permissions... :( Rated 4 out of 5 stars

wtf?!
after updating all dos and donts were lost :(
Perhaps an online account for saving permissions would be great.
Or an workaround to save and sync settings to an online drive :)

Tab Permissions

allow specific xor global Rated 4 out of 5 stars

better one could toggle it by clicking in 4 states shown by colour:
block globally for all tabs = red crossed
block only for this tab/URL= orange crossed
allow only for this tab/URL = blue
allow globally for all tabs = green

:)

RequestPolicy

one improvement proposal Rated 4 out of 5 stars

nice addon :)
I think a good replacement for Ghostery, NoScript and uMatrix. :D
But one improvement i have:
If one allowed requests temporarily an wants to make them firm you have to first forbid the request, reload the page and then second allow firmly the request and once again relaod the page.. This is too laborious!

Easier and much faster it was to have the option to allow permanently requests apart the forbiding option.
This would not always reload the page to apply changes cause you have not to :)

Practically you could make another segment beside allowed destinations in the dropdown menu named temporarily allowd desinations.
So one could have an perfect allowance overview :)

RequestPolicy

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

very nice :)
replaces noscript?

I got an suggestion for an improvement:
under 'allowed destinations' and apart ''forbid all requests to..." you could insert an option like 'allow request forever".

This is because someone wants to test temporarily a page and when it runs ok and you want to make it permanent you must first forbid it and reload and then agin alow it and reload it.
This is annoying :(

So this improvement would simplify a regular action :)

Reload Plus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

what about a "Deload"-Function :)
Unoad to blank page without deleting URL.
Frees Memory, enhances performance?
