Crashes Firefox 28 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Version installed on older Firefox still works on Firefox upgraded to 28. But won't install on a new computer running Firefox 28. Failure to install rates zero.
That fixed it. Thanks. back to 5 stars.

Google's search bar, earlier buggy, now works fine (w/Firefox 4) and can be configured to provide the no-click (enter search terms and enter) search in a new tab. If you like Google's https service then this is a good add-on. Else, use Google's search bar. This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Every other "solution," including the "Bookmark" suggestion, requires several keystrokes to open in a new tab.
This is the only one-click open Google in a new tab that I've seen. For a while it seemed not to keep up with new Firefox versions and, after mourning and protesting its loss, I tried some of the other suggestions. But I just noticed the warning about new Firefox versions is gone so I installed Go To Google again and it's working great with Firefox 3.6.12.
I'm always in a hurry, optimizing my most precious resource that can never be replaced or replenished: time. One quick click to a new tab--not replacing the info in any of my open tabs--w/Google is essential. After using Go To Google, all of the others are a painful impediment... as long as Go To Google faithfully keeps up with new versions.

I've been trying to find multiple countdown timers for months. Works great, but there's no audible alarm, which is a serious shortcoming that I hope will be addressed soon with a user-select audio file option. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).
