My Reviews

Yahoo Toolbar

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm having a hard time imagining why anyone would still use this extension. As far as I know, FF already comes with a search box, which can be made even better with Google toolbar.

The only reason why I used this (embarrassingly poor) toolbar was for email notification. But fortunately there are at least three unbloated FF add-ons with Yahoo! mail notification. (Why would you even use Yahoo! Mail is a completely different topic...)

The other feature that is not special is bookmarking. Again, there are many other FF add-ons that allow users to use bookmarks across different computers, among many other things that Yahoo! will never offer.

This bookmark also takes up a lot of room, with features (from Yahoo!) that I didn't know made it into the 21st century.

FoxyTunes

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Ever since Yahoo! acquired FoxyTunes, the change was upsetting. Before, finding lyrics was easy and without hassle through LyricWiki. Now users have to use the (terribly useless) Yahoo! music page for the lyrics. And most of the times Yahoo! does not have the lyrics.

And for some reason, FoxyTunes saves all of the album artwork on the Temp folder, taking up unnecessary space on the user's computer.

I hate to see you go FoxyTunes! But I think we should see other people.

Mouse Gestures Redox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

When I'm using a browser without this, it's like surfing without a leg.

The main reason why I won't update to FF3 is because this doesn't seem to be available to it.

OpenDownload

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention. This is what I've been looking for every since switching from IE.
Why hasn't this been done before?
It's nice, simple and effective.

Mailfrom

FINALLY! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Out of all of the apps that I've tried, this is the only one that makes the mailto go directly to Yahoo! Mail by default. Thanks!

Nice and simple Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just what I was looking for. It does not appear to have any bugs. And it's exactly what I was looking for.

Remove It Permanently

Will You Marry Me? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I LOVE this thing. It gets rid of stuffy text and pictures that I couldn't get rid of using Adblock.
There are, however, a few kinds as others have stated.
But who cares. This is, by far, my favorite add-on of the 40 that I have.
Cheers.

Very useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been looking for something like this for practically weeks. I'm too lazy to move my arms to "home" on my keyboard. Thanks for enabling my laziness!

Yahoo! Mail Notifier

Made me uninstall Messenger Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The only reason that I had Yahoo! Messenger was that it notified me of incoming mail. Because of this, I uninstalled this. Bottom line: This is a very useful add-on.
