This add-on used to be fantastic. Unfortunately, the developer's site does not appear to be up anymore, and s/he is not responding to posts here.
As other users have reported, the add-on now shows nothing but an XML error in its panel.
If the add-on is updated to work again, I will gladly change this to a 5-star review.
I am on the latest Aurora build (29.0a2 as of this review), and I am using Firefox sync to manage my add-ons and preferences across multiple computers. Unfortunately, every time I open my browser, the positions of the icons in the add-on bar are reset to the default, including icons that I have hidden entirely.
I like the functionality this add-on provides, and if it correctly saved the icons and their positions, I'd enjoy it more.
As Jaker788 mentioned, this is currently broken in Firefox/Aurora 8.0. I looked at the support site (a forum on Userscripts.org), but that doesn't appear to be monitored any longer. The last post in the update thread was several months old, and the forum is filled with spam posts.
It's possible (though I hope not) that development may have stopped on this extension. It hasn't been updated since before Fx 5.0 was released.
This is a great addon, but not a critical one. I hope the developer updates it, but if he doesn't (for whatever reason), it won't be the end of the world.
It does what it says, in that it lets you get the Alexa and Google rank of a site. However, as other users have stated, it takes up significant resources. In addition, it interfered with some built-in Firefox functionality that I had configured. Most notably, it reset the "close window with last tab" option that I had set to false. Regardless of what I did, the window would close with the last tab, and the tab bar would not stay visible.
There are enough alternatives to this plugin out there, and it looks like they need to fix some issues here. This plugin messes with core Fx functionality, which makes it an absolute no for me.
I really like this. However, can you add the option to show the source in a tab instead of an external window? That would be an invaluable addition.
