I like this the best of the translation add-ons I've tried. It's lean and clean. Perhaps an option to left-click the statusbar icon to translate the whole page would be nice, though.
Just one minor quibble. Having the text 'Translate this text with Google Translator' in the context menu makes it twice as wide as it otherwise needs to be. How about just 'Translate'? ;)
This is right up there with Fission as one of my favourite non-essential add-ons, and you have to allow yourself a few of those, or Firefox wouldn't be any fun. It looks especially pleasing with my current combination of Chromifox Basic/Hide Caption Titlebar Plus. Works pretty smoothly too, even on my 1998 vintage desktop.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's true that even the slower speeds are still quite quick; but I don't mind that so much, as it helps *me* to speed up a bit!
I second the request for a keyboard shortcut - Ctrl+space or Alt+space would be logical.
Almost as good as Cosmic Cat's Statusbar Clock. It could be improved by allowing the numeric day of the month in ordinal format (1st, 2nd etc.).
It seems to be common to all time/date add-ons that when a number increments (minutes, and especially seconds), the display bobs backwards and forwards on the status bar. Isn't there a way to 'contain' the display so that it doesn't do that?
I like this, and it does look good with Chromifox. Just one off-putting thing (with Winxp): in small caption mode, the bar is not quite wide enough to accommodate the Firefox icon in the top left hand corner, which also overlaps the drag area slightly. Aesthetically, that's not very pleasing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
This is my favourite theme for 3.6, bar none - it's a *very* nice piece of work. In fact, it's now the only theme I have installed. Much better than the Extreme version, I think - the options in the add-on which accompany that theme don't appear to work at all here, for some reason.
I especially like the upside-down tabs, and all the colours work very well together. Some suggestions for refinements:
* Colour co-ordinating for highlights in sidebar, menus and the add-ons window. I've been able to modify colours in the sidebar and add-ons window (to match the theme) in userchrome, but not the menus.
* The text of search engine titles in the search box seems just a tiny bit *too* opaque.
* It would be nice if you could design your own (minimalist) icon for Compact Menu, rather than 'incorporate' the default one, which still doesn't quite match those of the theme.
* I don't especially like the bookmark toolbar folder icons. To get around this, I extracted the bookmark icon used on the navigation bar from chromifox.jar, resized it, and used it in userchrome to replace the theme folder icons. Looks much better now!
I rather like this. Simple, but effective. Any chance of an optional status bar icon?
Yet another add-on which purports to work in pre-Firefox 3 releases, but doesn't here in 188.8.131.52. Although the options button is clickable, the options menu fails to appear. Checking in about:config, I can see smart mode is supposed to be active; but again, nothing happening here on various news sites.
Developers, please check your add-ons in *all* versions that you include as compatible.
This is an excellent extension that I've been using for some time. However, I'd like to second the request to implement the History menu functionality. I'd really like to remove a separator, which I've been unable to do in userchrome.css (without removing all separators).
It's been a good while since the last update.
Simple, yet brilliantly effective. Small footprint, which I like. Excellent support, too.
Oops - ignore my earlier quibble about the Bookmarks Manager - I'd forgotten that was one of the Toolbar Buttons pack, not a default. Sorry about that, and up one star. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206).
Nice, but why no skin for the Bookmark Manager? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
A must-have add-on, which I've enjoyed using in 18.104.22.168. It's a good idea to use Favicon Picker 3 0.4.0.5 to complement this extension, to give you icons for bookmarked sites which don't have one.
One small bug detected: In 3.01, checking the Auto-hide function apparently causes any RSS feeds on the toolbar to stop working.
A very amusing satire on Mozilla product names. One of the combinations it came up with was so catchy, I registered it as a domain. We need a few more add-ons like this, that don't do anything much, but make us smile.
I think this is potentially the best RSS extension. It's nicely designed, and pleasingly unobtrusive. However, I think I may have picked up a bug, and am unable to find anywhere to report it. Developer's home page does not provide any support that I can see, and clicking on 'support section' in the review tips merely returns me to the review page. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.2).
