My Reviews

GMail Checker

Mixed feelings Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I have been using this add-on for a very long time and have always loved it's simplicity. Just a tiny icon, showing how many new messages there, and when you click on it, you can see the subjects of the new messages for each of your gmail accounts. Couldn't ask for more. I had the problem of occasionally not being able to login, but could always solve it.

However since ff 17.0.1 I have been experiencing very strange lags sometimes I had a javascript popup (eg. one with google maps on a website to show their location, or a login screen from my banking site... it seemed to take 100 times longer to load and respond). Disabling this add-on solved it. No more lags. I don't know if it's a combination with another add-on, or just some issue with the latest FF.

If it works, then this is a great add-on

Handy Maps

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like this add-on, and saves me a lot of time. Instead of copying and pasting an address into google maps, I can do it now by selecting and clicking the context menu. What bothers me, is that I can't move it's tool bar pictogram around. It just stays stuck in one place and that's it. Otherwise: simple and effective

Follow Up

Perfect for those with little time and many mails Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this add-on. I have a web shop and I get a lot of mails. I don't always have the time right away to answer them (children....), so this is perfect to remember those mails.

What I would like in a future version is the ability to add a time as well, instead of a 'whole day' event.

Permit Cookies

Simple & perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Perfect add-on if you you wish to block ALL cookies, except for websites you choose to trust. And even then you can choose to permanently allow the cookie, or just for this session (it will be automatically deleted when you close FF if I'm not mistaken).
Glad to have found a version that my FF12 likes, at https://github.com/vrillusions/permit-cookies/downloads

The icon for this add-on sits in the add-on bar right after installing, without the need for an extra add-on. I´m very happy with this add-on!

Facebook Disconnect

Yay, no tracking and Likes when I want to Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is great! You could just simply block all third-party cookies to prevent tracking by Facebook. But I encountered serious issues with Facebook widgets on websites. They would simply not function.
With this add-on I can allow Facebook on a per site basis (though blocked by default) and click Like-buttons where I want to! Thank you very much for this add on. Love it

Gmail Twitter & Facebook Signature - WiseStamp

Very nice, but annoying texts Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on works great, and I love the fact I can add my latest tweet, my latest post from my Facebook and G+ page and much more. However, I am about to uninstall it: I've got 1 tweet and 1 FB post included in my sig, and it adds twice the link "get this email app" , PLUS: "Want a signature like mine?

This can be manually deleted, but that's really time consuming. I can understand that there has to be money coming in, but I really hate monthly plans and advertising in my signature. It would be more friendly to just give paying customers more options without the several links in the signature.

I'd be happy to pay a lifetime licence (which you don't offer right now), so I am uninstalling it. I will keep checking you guys however!

Nice free app for private emails, or for a business if you're willing to pay every year.

Color Management

thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have a wide color gamut screen and noticed oversaturated colors on SOME images in Firefox (4). Thanks to this add-on it was easy to find out why this happened: it concerned the photos that had no embedded ICC profile. Enabling color management for all images with this add-on solved my problem. Thank you!
