My Reviews

Snagit Autoscroll Helper

Yet to autoscroll on Firefox for Mac Rated 1 out of 5 stars

After over a decade of using Snagit happily on my Windows machine, I'm really disappointed with it on my Mac. The Firefox add-in required to get auto-scroll to work has yet to produce results, making testing clunky. I'm going to have to use other Firefox add-in and say goodbye to snagit. I'm glad I didn't spend the money on another license!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8).

FoxyProxy Standard

Confusing and not automatic Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I found this add-on confusing to use... and I'm pretty well-versed in proxies. I never got the "automatic" functionality to work correctly, so anytime I went from the client site to my office or from my office to my home office, etc., my Firefox was a complete mess since it always tried to look for updates prior to allowing me to reset the proxies. Maybe I'd have better luck now that I have better hardware/software. I just found it to be overly confusing.

Tab Mix Plus

Essential Add-On Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of my "Essential" add-ons that I always re-install upon getting a new browser or new equipment. I love the wealth of options that it provides. The latest version even has new functionality that I haven't had a chance to play around with yet. A great, must-have for everyone!

AniWeather

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This was a fun add-on that looked really cool and provided pretty decent forecasts, however it slowed my browser down to a crawl! I finally had to uninstall it. I haven't tried it since upgrading to Windows 7 and the newest version of Firefox.

Personas Plus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a lot of fun! It's a lot faster than my expectations. My only gripe is that I no longer can preview personas when I mouse over them. I have to add them as favorites and wait for them to cycle through to see if I like them or not. Small price to pay, overall, for such neat functionality. I dig it.

DownThemAll!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is another add-on that I've always considered in my "must have" list of Firefox add-ons. Usually, I'd give Download Them All 5 stars, but I'm having some issues with the most recent version not showing up in my menu options, as well as issues with not being able to select folder locations to save files to. In all likeliness, it's a problem with another add-on, but this hasn't happened in past versions. I still love this add-on and recommend it.

Firebug

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Powerful development/ troubleshooting tool. Between Firebug and Web Developer, I can figure out nearly any problem with a website. Firebug keeps getting better with every version, too!

NoScript Security Suite

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great extension for the security and privacy paranoid, as well as for those who do a lot of code testing. It's nice to be able to turn code on and off to see what is really causing issues. Really nice add-on.

Adblock Plus

Can't live without! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've used this add-on since I started using add-ons. Whether I used it on my laptop with Firefox, or on one of my mobile devices, it remains a go-to add-on. Fantastic!

Web Developer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The best add-on available for troubleshooting website issues. I used it all the time when I'm debugging browser issues or debugging web page issues. I don't know what I'd do without it. And, yes, I've donated! It is worth giving a few bucks to keep this one up and running.

Random Theme Switcher

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I LOVED this add-on when I had Firefox 2.0. I really miss it now that I've upgraded to 3.0. *sniffles* I give it 5 stars for my happy times while using it with 2.0! Hopefully, I'll be able to use it again down the road.

Firesomething

This sounds AWESOME! Please upgrade it for Firefox 3. :)
