My Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using this for a while, but since I just made an account here I wanted to give it a review.

And it's been doing what it's supposed to be doing. I've avoided "Don't allow sites ... to set future cookies" option because of the comments here, though. I don't like irreversible actions.

I've found a nice companion for this addon in Cookie Monster. I mainly just use it to set "Block 3rd Party Cookies". That way it keeps out most of the cookies I never want, while allowing me to login to sites I occasionally use. Then CookieCuller cleans up the list each time I restart Firefox, without removing my regular sites.

Cookie Monster

I love this in combination with CookieCuller. I've been using that one for a while to delete all cookies on startup, excluding protected cookies.

But my sessions tend to last for a while, and I'm annoyed with the tons of tracking cookies that pop up on almost any site. Deleting just on startup isn't enough, but I don't want to micromanage by either manually deleting or by having to manually accept each cookie to sites I log on to now and then.

Turns out all I was missing was the "Block 3rd Party Cookies" feature of this addon. Now I don't have any cookies from domains I've never visited before, and the list is much easier to browse through to find cookies I want to protect with CookieCuller.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0).
