I keep all my bookmarks in folders/subfolders that have the names of categories and topics that I am interested in. I simply drag and drop new bookmarks into the appropriate folder/subfolder and this way my bookmarks are always organized and accessible. I make new folders/subfolders for bookmarks that do not fit into existing titles and categories. All my bookmark-folders do not fit on one row of the bookmarks bar, yet I need to have them all visible for rapid and convenient drag and drop of newly found bookmarks. This is the only add-on that can provide me with tweaks to the bar, including the capability to have multi-row bookmarks!
Recently FF33 (Nightly) broke the multi-row feature and I emailed the developer for help. Within days I was sent a fix; the add-on now works perfectly in my Nightly.
Excellent add-on, but I was only annoyed by search links no longer opening in a new tab, but in the same tab as the search. So, thank you, mkanet (Sept. 10, 2010 comment), for your tip; it does not get rid of the left column, but it does restore what I really cared about - links opening in their own separate tabs.
Does not work now, but used to work well and I found it very useful. 5 stars in the hopes that will be updated soon.
RE. my earlier review:
Since that time, the Add-on's developer has been working with me via email and solved my middle-click "bug" (it had to do with a setting in another one of my Add-ons, Personal Menu.)
Five stars for this add-on, and another five for the Developer's level of support!
A bookmarks folder on the bookmarks toolbar tends to close up immediately after clicking on a bookmark. This extension is very useful because it keeps the menu open long enough to enable me to click on other bookmarks I wish to open.
A problem since 1.5.3 is that middle-clicking on a bookmark folder no longer opens all the bookmarks within that folder (sorry! - I cannot recall what got me this functionality in the first place - but I value it very much). However, reverting back to 1.5.2 re-enabled this without any apparent loss of function.
Best search engine organizer, ever. Solid, intuitive, and logical. 5 Stars up to FF3.5.
So essential that I am holding off on upgrading to 3.6 until this add-on is upgraded to be compatible.
PLEASE, upgrade it to FF3.6!
Worked for me in all my FF2 versions amd I found it very useful to have the scrollbar especially when the length of the Bookmarks list would put it below the bottom of my screen.
However, not (yet?) functional in FF# and the developer's HomePage seems to be involved with other matters.
At a glance, I always knew the temperaturur and general weather conditions in real time as well as the forecast for the next few days. And - unlike ForecastFox, it was accurate. But that was in FF2. I miss it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.6).
Yes, you can have too many buttons on your toolbar, but this one was very handy and got a lot of use: cleaned up all your tabs with one click! I could not find an alternative button among the listed add-ons.
