Love this add-on, but it appears to have stoped working as of v 16.0.2. Not sure how to update it to get it to work.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.10).
But I'm missing it terribly. Is someone out there picking this one up tp upgrade for 4.*? Because I'm pretty sure it's not going to need many changes...
Ok got it installed, and the first time I try to hit a page with an embedded .wmv on it it works. The second page I hit it gives the following error message..
Unable to find the video player (check Tools menu, MediaPlayerConnectivity...)
[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0xc1f30002 (NS_ERROR_ALREADY_INITIALIZED) [nsIProcess.init]" nsresult: "0xc1f30002 (NS_ERROR_ALREADY_INITIALIZED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://mediaplayerconnectivity/content/mpc-overlay.js :: mpc_executeApp :: line 885" data: no]
The error seems to be in mpc-overlay.js in mediaplayerconnectivity.jar inside the .xpi file.
One thing I noticed on past attempts to get this to work is it seems to be storing the url from the previous hit so that it's adding it as a list, then failing to initialize properly because it's already initialized, I'm not sure what this means but it seems to need to see if it's already initialized, then deinitialize it somehow. I'm unsure how to change the mpc-overlay.js file to change this.
Any hopes of bumping this to 3.5? I tried editing the install.rdf to include it, but it doesn't seem to be able to work right.
