My Reviews

FoxVox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works well. Could really do with a shortcut key to start/stop speaking. A pity that the better-quality voices aren't free.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7.5).

Places' Tooltips

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Despite the extra apostrophe, this is a solid add-on. Works with Firefox 3.6.8 (I use MR Tech Toolkit to allow installation of old add-ons).

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.20091211).

gTask Sidebar

Just a bookmark Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As Avi anon said, it's just a bookmark...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.45).

Snapper

Works great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works fine with Firefox 3.6.8. I use MR Tech Toolkit to allow me to use it.

Google SSL Search

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Only works if your local Google is google.com

Tab Utilities

Great but a few annoying defaults Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Really good, no issues here. However I think it would be better if it *didn't* change the appearance by default (to those ugly outlined and red tabs), and also didn't change middle-click from close tab. Also there are so many settings it would be worthwhile if they could be exported and imported (see MR Tech's Local Install for an example of an extension which does this).

CacheViewer

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Simple, works. Could do with some more features.

StyleSheet Chooser Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great, but has one minor bug - if you change a stylesheet, and then change it back to the default, it gets added to the list. I think it should only save your selection when it's not the default. Also would be nice if it came with a toolbar button as well as a statusbar icon. Still this is the best stylesheet chooser extension.

Style Sheet Chooser II

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Works but the icons do not indicate if there are alternate stylesheets available. Therefore I use StyleSheet Chooser Plus instead.

MozFBRH

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still works well in Firefox 3. I use MR Tech Toolkit to allow installation of old extensions.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.8).

Toolbar Buttons

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Brilliant, especially the way you can build your own custom version. No issues.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.0.5).

Document Map

Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great extension. It also comes with an (off by default) toolbar button. I use MR Tech Toolkit to allow installation of old extensions.

ConQuery

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This was a great Firefox 2 extension. Correct link for Firefox 3 version is http://mozilla-ext-ja.way-nifty.com/blog/conquery/index.html Still a bit buggy though

No Tooltip Timeout

urg can't edit my review Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I meant the userscript, http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/559

No Tooltip Timeout

Good Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is good. But as far as xkcd goes, I recommend Comics Alt Text which displays the text in grey beneath the strip.

Menu Editor

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Cool but needs a way to backup your options. Also the bookmarks menu isn't implemented yet.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.6).

RadialContext-mz

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Nice work, I've waited years for a customizable RadialContext!

SaveURI

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It should add the URI only when you save the page, rather than all the time.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.2).

Tab Overflow Scrollbar

Ugly Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It would be great but it opts to squish the tabs vertically, which is really ugly, instead of just having the scrollbar underneath.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7).

Menu Mod

Use Menu Editor instead Not yet rated

The Menu Editor extension lets you *completely* configure your menus, including hiding any menu or menu item, or reshuffling items within or between menus, including the page and tab context menus.
