My Reviews

IDND

Needs update Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good addition that does what it says, but should be updated to use the new-style statusbar icon so it can be moved around.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1.1-signed.1-signed).

HeaderControl

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks heaps Torvin, that works! I suggest that if you still dont have a reply in a month or two, upload it as a new add-on eg. HeaderControl 2 / HeaderControl fixed.

New Tab Homepage

worse than normal behaviour Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Normally when you make a new tab you can immediately start typing into the address bar. Unfortunately, with this add-on you have to press Ctrl-A then Delete to remove the current contents before you can search / type an address :(

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.3.1-signed).

Stop Autoplay

OK but Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works great but annoyingly hard to whitelist - you have to go to about:addons, Stop Autoplay > Options, Whitelist tab, enter URL... Also apparently it blocks embedded audio invisibly, so don't use this if you do want to hear background music sometimes.

Redirect Remover

Good Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good but could do with some improvements, eg. filtering URLs based on the page they are on

PDF Download

Doesn't work on Firefox 4 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work on Firefox 4

Customize Titlebar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Better than the alternatives. I also use it with KeePass Password Safe.

Works great with Firefox 4. You can force add-on compatibility by adding a new boolean preference in about:config "extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0" and setting it to false (Where "4.0" is your Firefox version, put a "b" on the end if you're using a beta).

NoScript Security Suite

Must-have Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent.

However it doesn't use the new add-on bar properly so you can't move the blocking notification in the status bar. Besides which it's ugly and takes up a lot of room with more text than needed:
"Scripts Partially Allowed | <SCRIPT>: 87 | <OBJECT>: 0"
Could be much nicer:
"87 Scripts blocked" with the icon indicating partial/global allow.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.0.3.1-signed).

Remove It Permanently

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good but I prefer "Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus"

Readability

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice but really needs a way to customize the views.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.5).

Hootsuite Hootlet

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I take it we should now use the HootBar instead? Why are you keeping this add-on around?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1-signed.1-signed).

HootBar

Almost Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Good but there are bugs, for instance if you click the Add Account button, and then cancel the request at Twitter.com, the location bar gets stuck with "Requesting an authentication token from Twitter..." until you restart Firefox.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0).

Favicon Picker 3

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This was great while it lasted.

There is a "Favicon Picker 4", it's called "Bookmark Favicon Changer": https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bookmark-favicon-changer/

Scriptish

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's missing the new Execution Order functionality of Greasemonkey. Not worth switching to until then.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1b9.1-signed.1-signed).

GoogleSharing

Great concept but slow and ugly Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The concept is excellent. However the proxy is often very slow or unusable. Perhaps another proxy server could be provided for people willing to pay for it? For a reasonably fast and reliable service I think there would be many people such as myself willing to pay a minimal subscription fee.

Also the UI needs work: Should be an icon instead of text, and it is added to the add-on bar every time Firefox starts instead of just when it is installed.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.21.1-signed.1-signed).

Cookies Manager+

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice work. I thought there was a bug as my selection kept jumping back, until I realised it was because of auto-refresh - it should be off by default.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1-signed.1-signed).

Pocket

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be good if there was an option to hide the drop target on the Tab Groups page, it gets in the way.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1.1-signed).

Menu Icons Plus

Great Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great but there are still a few menu items missing. It would be awesome if there were an easy way to edit icon packs so we could upload our own to handle extra items from various add-ons.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed.1-signed).

StyleSheet Chooser Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Need update for Firefox 4

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

CookieSafe

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work with Firefox 4, Cookie Monster is better anyway.
