Popup Blocker Ultimate

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

As most pop up blockers as for today, it doesn't pass the TPB pop up test. Go to that site and click on the search bar, your CPU will spike to 100% although the pop up gets blocked.

Popup Blocker (strict)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Loved the idea and cleanliness, but then it pushed all 8 cores of an i7 7700K to 100% just to block a single pop up site. It seems to be a problem with FF Quantum itself, though. Try it on TPB, click on the search bar of that site as if you were to input some text and check for yourself!.

After trying different ones came back to this one!. Thanks to the developer.

ScrollAnywhere

Always better Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just love it!. It does exactly what it needs to do.

If you find an annoying clash with URL Paste and Go on middle click, check my previous comment.

AdBlocker Ultimate

I've got the opportunity to test and the test failed Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I had installed this AdBlocker Ultimate + Ghostery (now selling your data) + some pop-up blocker. Ublock single-handedly defeated them, blocking unwanted popups even.

I'm grateful to the AdBlock people for offering a free (as in freedom) product. But another one worked much better under difficult circumstances.

Ghostery

Unneeded and unwanted Rated 2 out of 5 stars

If you've got just a good ad blocker this extension is unneeded. I prefer Ublock Origin; it's wonderful to me and free as in freedom.

Also Ghostery seems to be somewhat malicious nowadays. They are towards "Better Advertising" and listed on the better advertising initiative. So, they are just testing with us and playing ransomware with the industry it seems.

Works great, but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I just loved it!. It is perfect in its current state. Even being a keystroke centric person myself I have it installed by default in every computer I use.

*Don't forget to do* about:config middlemouse.contentLoadURL False

... in order to disable the annoying middle click *paste and go* while you are trying to use this extension with middle click.

Thanks to the developer.

Cheers everyone!

Vimium-FF

Fair enough! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works great for me on FF DE 56.0b6 (64-bit), except for *Open in New Tab*, follow the link marked *Next* and some other advanced commands. All of which will probably be solved soon enough.

I loved the tab search feature (so I can have a clean interface (hidden tabs)) and sort of a replacement for Tab Groups for the time being in 57+.

I stopped trying to make my browser behave like my text editor years ago. Some people tries to compare Vimium-FF to Vimperator or something of that sort...

Learn the reasons behind Web Extensions: Firefox has become faster and more stable. The old model was unsustainable from a practical standpoint (start up times, memory leaks, user information leaks and so forth).

Adjust your rationale and be happy to still have a NORMAL mode to begin with. Firefox isn't a console text editor. I thank the developer and the Firefox Team for sharing their efforts toward a more pleasant web experience.

If you don't like it, try and make respectful arguments or fix it yourself for once.

DuckDuckGo Plus

I love it!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

DuckDuckGo is late to the whole FF 57+ Game. I hope they update their add-on soon because I already leaved Google and I'm not going back.

Google Image Search

It works OK but tinyimage is much better for me Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Using Google services isn't what it used to be. Today it's much better to migrate from this bubble trapping, election fraud inducing search engine.

I'm grateful to this independently made addon, but this is a so long and thanks for all the fish bye, bye.

Youtube Dark Mode

Actually quite perverse!, even though I thought it was good at the beginning Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It didn't work for me. I dind't appreciate this is only bait for their "Emoji Keyboard". It produces high CPU usage to the point the page seems choppy when scrolling and the video looks like you had 4 processors down the drawer.

Try it if you want to. But if you are wise, dont'!!

HideScrollbars

Pure "just works" technology Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Also remember to refresh pages for the add-on to take effect without restarting.

Plus, remember to rise against corporations. Most of them are evil ~ >_< ~

Fast, minimalist, straight to the point. Perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on was a refreshing surprise for me. Without flashes and whistles, it just works and already became part of my workflow.

I wish it'd work on about:addons and this mozilla pages, though.

Immense thanks to the programmer!.

PriceBlink - Price Comp & Coupons

Too intrusive Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Does not work OK in Amazon to me. I didn't like having it activated all the time in a super obstructive way.

uBlock Origin

Practical, Snappy and Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I haven't experienced a single issue after install. That's why I know it's working like a gem.

Thanks to the developers.
