My Reviews

Video DownloadHelper

Does What it Says on the Tin Rated 5 out of 5 stars

DVH has been a great addon for years - a good alternative to scummy websites that claim to convert videos for you and rarely do (properly). With the latest update, it handles YouTube videos well again, along with a very large number of other sites. It is an excellent timesaver.

I've also never had it create performance issues on my system, even while actively working on several videos at once. My system is about 4-5 years old, its not the fastest thing around either.

The new interface really exposes some new options, I'm glad to see it.

Xmarks Sync

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

An extremely nice extension. Don't know how I'd live without it. I'm on 4 systems most days, with 6 different OS installs. Without this, I would have gone crazy long ago. Haven't used password sync yet, just bookmarks, but it is flawless in that respect. Also acts as a backup of your bookmarks.

SomethingAwful Last Read Enhancement

Very good. Despite the forums integrating some functionality a few years back, I still find it a great addition. If you're a regular on SA and not using this, then I dunno what you're doing.

S3 Organizer(S3Fox)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Extremely convenient. Not a full backup solution (use other software with Amazon S3 for that), but makes it a cinch to check the backups, or just use S3 for shuffling files around. Very well done extension!

DownThemAll!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I don't end up using it very often, but when I do, I'm glad to have it around. Seems to work all right for my occasional usage. Some sites do give weird errors, despite the fact that downloading the items normally works fine.

Download Manager Tweak

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A resurrection of an otherwise dead extension I used to love. And I love it still. Having downloads show up in a tab with other useful buttons is extremely nice.

Video DownloadHelper

Really pretty useful. Nice to not have to go back to the relevant webpage and deal with a crappy web video player - download to your system and play them locally.

OptimizeGoogle

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a big fan of the pro-privacy options present here. That and all the little tweaks you can do really help make searching much more optimized.

BugMeNot

Absolutely fantastic. Why do sites even use free registrations just to let you view free content anyway I wonder? In any case, this lets you ignore that completely.

Adblock Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works really well! I've practically forgotten how ad-ridden the internet really is - I'll use a friend's computer, and just get confused with all the ads present. Get this if you're tired of seeing all those stupid banner ads, etc. Very little performance hit at all despite my huge list of filters.
