I hate the fact that I discovered this theme so late. I've always been a fan of "simple" looks on software, I still use Windows Classic Theme and this theme fits perfect with it. It's compact, good looking and on top of that highly customizable. You will reclaim so much space on your screen and beautify your browser with additional button packs. The only issue I have with this addons is it conflicts with FaviconizeTab extension, but I fixed it with a simple userstyle. I strongly recommend this addon! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.8).
Useful tool but we need more icons! It would be great to choose from a selection. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
Instant favorite! I recently installed this addon and it's most helpful. I use it combine with "Add to Search Bar" and save a lot of time. I hated engine switching with the original search bar. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.3).
I recently discovered Menu Editor (the extension this one is based on), an incredibly useful addon as my right click context menu had become bloated by my other addons. However there was a conflict with "Quick Search Bar", so I came across Menu Editor II while searching for an alternative. After checking out the original extension's forum, I understand that the developers have very little time to fix bugs and resolve conflicts lots of people seem to have with various addons. The Menu Editor had gone for nearly 3 years without an update until recent FF4 compatible version. And there seems to be no indication that it will be updated any time soon.I just hope the developer of Menu Editor II picks up the project again. This addon, as is the original, is a must have, however conflicts with other favorite addons make it impossible to enjoy it.
In the mean time, I will hide undesired context menu items with custom user scripts.
I'm pleased with this add-on except a few things, I find it annoying that the unread counter doesn't reset when clicked on(opens Gmail). You have to wait the interval you set until Gmail Manager checks the email again (assuming you've read your emails by then). Also the toolbar icon is flat, sticking out among other buttons. It looks ugly.
This addon is pretty good. Sxipper was my favorite form filler but dropping support for FF4, I was forced to look for a new addon. First I tried LastPass which was a nightmare. I hate addons that constantly remind you they're there. Anyway, this one is quite simple and does the job. If there are multiple login info for the site you're viewing, you can select on from the drop down menu, if there is one, clicking on the button fills the form. However, it would be a great improvement if there was an option to automatically tick "remember me" boxes. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.7).
I've been using Xmarks for years now, for bookmark and password sync only. Recently, I had to create a fresh Firefox profile and only then I realized xmarks had removed password sync service, kindly forcing us to migrate to lastpass. I felt simply disappointed they did this unannounced, they could have at least sent an email. I will have to manage my passwords manually from now on.
As for the plugin itself, passwords aside, xmarks continues to synchronize bookmarks etc. and it still is a good plugin. It has some other features that makes it seem bloated. You can easily disable them like I do since they were introduced. Also, xmarks has the ugliest ever button set, the developers should, if not redesign, at least resize them so they won't change the height of the navigation bar.
This is one of my favorite addons. If you tend to open lots of tabs, especially from a single website, let's say 20+ images, the auto faviconize feature is life saving. One thing though, It would be better if the addon wouldn't wait until the tab is fully loaded to faviconize it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.3).
Saves a lot of time when opening multiple pages from feeds, bookmarks etc. Very useful plugin, especially if you use a laptop and touchpad. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.9).
This addon is obligatory, you can't have the full Firefox experience without Tab Mix Plus. This addon single-handedly beats other popular browsers. Install it and see it for yourself, it is, although very advanced, extremely easy to configure, it also has a session manager and the ability to export settings. On top of everything, this is one of the best maintained addons, constantly being updated to resolve conflicts with other addons, and has a large community ready to assist if you experience any problems. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.8.5).
This is a quite useful addon, it simply shows the largest image in the page, if you right click it, largest images in subsequent pages. Even though the addon hasn't been updated for Firefox 4, it works fine if you have addon compatibility check disabled.
This is one of the most useful addons. Since the menu bar is thrown aside with Firefox 4, this addons does a great job reorganizing the FF menu, you can add or remove anything! If you want to, you can use it with an icon-pack addon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.0.3).
I was hoping that I would be able to move out specific icons from the new addon bar, but extension only allows you to move them as a batch. All I wanted to do was move the Greasemonkey button up and disable addon bar in order to gain some more space. Rest of the buttons on the addon bar aren't crucial as GM icon. However this addon is still quite useful if you use it with additional addons to show/hide addons bar items. I'm using "organize status bar 0.65". This addon also makes the menu button movable which is a great feature. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.2).
The orange button was way too eye-bugging. This is good. If you're not into userstyles, this addon's for you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
