A tool bar to manually set and configure your (http) proxies.
This add-on is not compatible with your version of Firefox because of the following:
I've applied some fixes and improvements, if you'd like, give it a try:
The add-on works, but it all depends where.
On user albums, it should work OK even for large albums.
On page albums, like pages of clubs, things don't work out.
First thing, it misfires because the url differs and it sees the albums page as the user's photos page. Thus it won't load anything and it'll just remain in that state. This is the biggest error and it's easily fixed.
Second, the pages don't have the elements facepaste needs to find the user name, as user profiles do, and it throws an error in the console. I don't know if it can go on like this, didn't try it, I've fixed it, but it needs the Notification counter to be at 0 (so no red numbers on the globe icon).
Your addon is nice but I would like to remove the pin/unpin thread etc, which always shows above what I am used to, open link etc. ATM it's not in the context menu list of entries. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6).
On 27.0.1... Works perfectly, albeit, didn't check all combinations of settings. But it did download videos and some 200 albums a page of a business has, while skipping the two general pages, it worked flawlessly and fast. In case not all files have been downloaded, a 2nd pass can be made to update and merge the content, this means existing content gets skipped, so connection problems facebook has can be worked around.
Since this is an occasional use extension, and some people noticed issues, while I didn't, I can only recommend to run it in a separate profile (look up how firefox profiles work), clean, without any other extensions installed in it (keeping all other extensions in main profile), logged in FB and it will work, guaranteed.
Works with Firefox 6.0.1 well, doesn't interfere with add-on bar's open/closed state during sessions, just edit install.rdf and make the proper modifications to be able to install this. As to what Battlemaster said, there's no need for QuickProxy, as ProxyBar has its own quick activate/deactivate button and it sets up the same proxy for all fields, including socks. Even so, Flash won't adhere to the settings of the browser in which case you should use a system-wide proxifier like ProxyCap when using Socks servers.
I've just moved to FX 5 and things changed. In FX 3 I would put bookmark icons and folders next to Help menu, making good use of that space, filling the bar was a simple drag address icon to bookmark folder and I was done. But now that the bar has moved, IDK, I find it a bit of a space waster, and so I had to resort to the bookmarks button. Drag and dropping as I used to do before is a bit of a pain now as I have to wait for the button and several folders to open while dragging the link and then steadily maneuver the link in place, it's Ugly. This add-on allows me to quickly add bookmarks in the right places without fuss. It's Pretty! Thanks! ;)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.20110615).
I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a method of saving the settings of the extension like noscript does, in a bookmark? Be nice to see that....
That's interesting... might want to look up Wikipedia's system of revision history. It might give better ideas on how to manage the highlighting of the changes. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.1).
Isn't this obsolete? Once an extension is disabled or uninstalled the browser prompts to restart through an information bar! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.5).
Martin, you need to be logged in... under the box that says "This add-on is for older versions of Firefox" is an Ignore version check link.
I would agree that it lacks a lot of features a full blown client has, but this is not a full blown client is it? It's more like a download and leave client (or at least a 1:1 ratio) like a regular download.
It works flawlessly with FX 3.0.8
To install log in, Ignore version check, copy the shortcut to IE, other browser or a download manager and download it. Open it with WinRar, open install.rdf outside and here you just have to edit the em:maxVersion string... change it to 3.*
Save, repack and drag and drop in FX.
It works OK but it has a serious bug... to prevent file corruptibility I suggest to disable all antivirus components for the time of extraction and enable them again after extraction. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.2).
