It's simple and it works. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A thousand stars.
This add-on gives Firefox functionality that should already be built-in.
A site was giving me a migraine. I installed YesScript and the pain was instantly history.
Hmm... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The programmer responded so I changed my review from 1 to 5 stars. It's always really nice to get a responce.
The options are confusing and the add-on wasted my time. I couldn't get it to copy plain text into Excel.
After all - the add-on is called "Copy As Plain Text" and not "Copy As Plain Text (Only inside Firefox)".
Why use an add-on when a bookmarklet can do the job??? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I use this:
A test page would be nice.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I think this add-on is confusing. Hopefully the programmer will provide a test page so we can test out the settings.
I changed this review completely since the programmer was nice enough to get back to be. It seemed to me that the add-on wasn't working. Now, I think it's clear the program is I don't fully understand how it works.
[To the programmer - thanks for getting back to me so quickly!]
[title It doesn't seem to work. Rated 1 out of 5 stars]
I tested it at a few places. Here are two
Test Browser Referer Headers « Dark Launch
Results - I tried a few enabled settings (and disabled too) I think the test results for the four fields were...
...every single time.
Results for disabled and enabled (with "Remove")
HTTP Header Information
Results - each time was the same - there's a referer.
Take over this project! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
If you're a programmer - you could take over this add-on. Please!
It was abandoned in 2010.
Other redirection add-ons are bad. Actually the word I want to use is four letters and it starts with "s".
Feature request Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Feature request: You could make a tweak for Wikipedia for the parens?
Here's the url copy and pasted from the address bar:
Here's the url via the add-on:
If you post the url (via the add-on) in a forum - it breaks.
Feature request Rated 5 out of 5 stars
To the programmer: my request is to force sites to give you the "real" url when you use TabSubmit.
Example: "dbopm :: Search results"
If I use TabSubmit - the link is always - http://www.dbopm.com/home/index/40 - I think that's a problem.
= The site makes "site searches" in Firefox's history impossible. Both the title and url are always the same. The title is always "dbopm :: Search results" and the url never changes.
= Search links can't be shared or bookmarked , etc.
= It's good (and useful) to see where you really are.
To anybody reading this:
I sent the above comment to the the "Support E-mail" that's in the right sidebar.
If you like my request - you could leave a review or email the programmer. The more people ask the programmer for something - the more likely grant the request.
Disqus setting Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I think retardos' comment is confusing.
I set this up a few seconds ago...
disqus.com -to- http://www.google.com/
...I only tried it one site but it worked.
I use http://www.google.com/ for all sorts of sites since most sites aren't "surprised" by it.
It restores much need functionality. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Showing/hiding the favicon should be an about:config setting.
Add-ons like this one are excellent because they fix Mozilla "improvements".
Mozilla keeps screwing things up by making modifications that can't be undone by simple changes in about:config. I'll never understand their reasoning. Sure, protecting grandma from phishing sites is a great idea. But not everybody is grandma.
DANGER - Do not install it Rated 1 out of 5 stars
> Firefox "security" add-on exposes users' Web browsing history
> The ShowIP add-on exposes the full Web-browsing history of its users to the add-on's back-end service—and anyone who can intercept the unencrypted packets.
Has this add-on been abandoned? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It's a ~4 star add-on with 0 star support that may have been abandoned. So, it's 1 star.
= Last update: June 3, 2010
= Their forum link is missing. This used to be it...

Kudos to the programmer! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I rated it 4 stars ten days ago. The programmer addressed my concerns and added a toolbar button. Neat.
2011.12.20 Original review
Original title: Toolbar button needed
This add-on - as good as it is - needs an update to have a toolbar button.
I'm sure many people are like me - we don't use the add-on bar and we've exchanged all our icons that were sitting at the bottom of the window on the now dead status bar to be buttons at the top of the window - at the toolbar.
Free from *all* spyware? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I would like a developer of this add-on to say - clearly and completely - the details of how this add-on keeps and/or stores data and/or phones home that data.
Why I'm starting this "thread"...
1) The "About this Add-on" sections has zero mentions on security and privacy.
2) As far as I know - the add-on doesn't have a forum. And forums are such a good thing because they are available to anybody and are a record of what people said. If a forum existed - I would have started this thread there.
3) I'm starting this thread in light of the Carrier IQ news. I have no knowledge of this being a bad/naughty add-on - I'd like the developers to confirm how it behaves.
Now that the developers have responded - I wish I could give them -5 stars.
Look at their "response".
1) Does this add-on violate privacy? The situation doesn't look good. I gave them a chance to explain - and as I expected - they avoided the issue. It's been my experience that rude developers treat their users (very) poorly.
2) They were smarmy. I didn't "forget" anything. I used the support link and learned it's a voice-mail-like system. I left the site.
3) I bet $1,000,000 internet dollars that they will not update their "About this Add-on" and "Developer's Info" to include a forum link. It seems to me they don't want people asking too many questions.
It's the developers job to provide adequate info. It's not the job of somebody to play hunt-and-seek for privacy info on add-ons that may or may not exist. And "may not" is key. Who wants to do that? I sure don't.
It's convenient but it has problems. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It's convenient but it has problems.
I'm using Vista & Fx 3.6.10
It uses gigantic amounts of memory.
I have to use 0.6.2.4 because newer versions - including 0.6.2.10- have a bug that makes it impossible for me to create new scripts.
It's sadly easy to make the bug appear:
- Go to "Site Wizard"
- Click the "checkmark" icon.
The expected result that you've just created a new script and the options window appears. But, the actual result is: nothing happens. There's no way to add new scripts.
2011.06.04 A heads up about a AMO review bug
AMO just ate my review - so if you're reading this and you're about to write a review - create it in a text editor and copy and paste it in.
Sheesh. I guess Mozilla is spending 99.7% of their time trying to make Firefox faster. And ignoring everything else.
Very useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I can't imagine using Firefox without it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.2010070401.1-signed). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
It's fantastic - you can even grab selected text Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is - by far - the best add-on of its kind.
Also - note that you can grab selected text. I use this:
title, link, selected text
One problem - if you don't select text you end up with 3 newlines at the end.
These pages are really useful:
How can I stop the newline problem?
To the programmer
1) You could elected text example to the default list.
2) You could add "selected text" in descriptions at AMO and on this page:
I did a ctrl-f for "select text" at AMO and on that page and came to the wrong conclusion that grabbing selected text wasn't possible. I even left a comment for you to add the functionality. A few minutes later I realized how impatient I was.
feature request - Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Ignore the review - I had to give one...
You don't have to install this to be able to use AniDisable. Instead - if you have MR Tech Toolkit
MR Tech Toolkit
You can override compatibility checking.
There's no way to contact you so I'll make my feature request here.
Could you make this option(?):
Opening a gif in a new tab automatically sets that tab to enabled even if the add-on is set to disabled.
I'm sure that many people would like that too. 99.9%+ of the time I want gifs to be diabled, but the times when I open a gif in a new tab - I'm doing that so I can see the animation.
Also - I think you should give it a new name without "hacked" in the title. Like AnidisablePlus.

To who(m)ever - Sorry for all the junk comments - I have no idea what's happening at amo. I clicked "Post Review" and got no feedback and it seemed my posts where going nowhere. They are visible in my profile.
There seems to be no way for me to remove/edit my comments. I would delete them if I could. The comment format is... [rant deleted]
Please delete all the comments before this and ^^^ that too.
@Better Browser Tools
# 1 C'mon - how about some sort of contact mechanism?
#2 The addon has problems using the button on this page...
Edit any website and share changes.
...and I can't come up with an exception rule that works.
#3 You should remove the "Homepage" link if it has nothing to do with you. Confusion is bad. Clarity is good.
rating: -1 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Even if addons.mozilla.org allowed zero stars - it would still be too much for this piece of....This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).

>> feel free to have a look at the source
>> (see below) and suggest enhancements
Your add-on doesn't work with Console². Is it a 3.5.4 problem?
The console has a limit how far it can be dragged from the bottom of the tab. The limit is not fixed and ranges from about from about .5 cm to about 3 cm.
And I don't understand why you don't provide an email or have a forum or something. You ask for suggestions but you provide no method to give feedback.
Leaving a comment here at amo is often a big waste of time. Oh, well.
