BlockSite

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Thought it would be a rightclick kind of addon. Sadly, it's not. Like attack sites that hijack your browser are actually going to show you their real urls and let you copy them so you can manually add them to the blocksite url list. Worthless addon.

Downloads in Tab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

great function that should be included by default as an option. However, it cannot be installed on the current version of Firefox (3.6.6)

LastPass Password Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Best program of it's kind period. However, it recently lost all of my profiles and logins. They were still stored in my vault, but were no longer available in the browser interface. Perhaps that's a bug in Firefox. They are great at responding to problems if you run into one. I've yet to submit this one to them though.

Easy YouTube Video Downloader

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Only option missing is selecting download directory manually. It just automatically downloads instead of asking you where to download to. You can choose a default folder, but that's not helpful when you store nearly a THOUSAND videos like me.

Anyone getting 0KB files need to make sure that they have the latest version. I've yet to have a file fail.

Easy YouTube Video Downloader

Excellent! Works great. Offers quality formats just below the video on the right. It is the "Download As" text in bold.

LastPass Password Manager

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Firefox now hangs on startup again. Last update resolved it. See my extensive testing I performed on Lastpass in an earlier review. Using the same version of Firefox and Lastpass, but the problem is back. I've added no new extension. Pity.

SmartSave Thunderbird Extension

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Only exports your main folders. If you have more than one email account it ignores them. This extension serves no purpose.

Google Translate ANY => EN

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Would be nice if it didn't replace the search bar. Have to use the drop down arrow to use regular google search now. But it saves a lot of typing i.e. click in search bar, type translate, click google translate in the search results, select language option, paste text THEN translate! With this it's just past and click and your done!

Other option would be to install the google toolbar, but I don't like using their bloated toolbar.

Plain Text Links

Worthless. Get linkification instead.

Text2Link

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Not compatible with Firefox 3.6 in spite of what Mozilla says.

FireDownload

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Simply does not work. Downthemall is more than 15 times faster. 128KBS vs 2.5MBS You be the judge.

Extra Fasterfoxx

Startup is better, but Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Firefox does seem to start faster, though I'm on a fresh install of Vista. But it seems the websites are loading the same speed.

Web of Trust, MyWOT/WOT: Website Reputation Rating

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

What's the point of having the option to "ignore this warning", "this site is safe I want to rate it", but not the option to leave it permanently? Seems like a nobrainer. How about letting us click the ratings in google search results for our own reference instead of having to log in and rate the darn site?

Custom Google Search

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

You get 5 stars for concept, but 2 stars for performance. The blacklist doesn't appear to work. Plus is only lists *.google.com/* as the "website pattern that will be added"; obviously, I'm not going blacklist the google domain.

Secondly, clicked the remove icon (circle with the line drawn through it) has no effect.

So, other words, impossible to exclude websites from custom searching.

Sorry this did not work out, as it is an admirable attempt to do something really good.

Snapper

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, it changes the colors of my images from the normal white webpage background to solid black.

Lunapic Image Edit

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic. You can even send the finished image to imageshack if you want.

AvantGarde Rosepetal

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does this pink theme make me look fat? Very nice. Got tired of the overkill with the dark themes that strained my eyes and tried this just as a test. It's whole lot more attractive. Job very well done. Thanks.

DownThemAll!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be nice if the added ftp support, which required entering login and password information. Firefox is natively not compatible with FTP sites (yes, I've tested it multiple times on multiple sites).

Linkification

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic. I went to some page that I knew were all text links and thought something was wrong because there weren't any text links to use this on. Duh! It automatically made the text clickable! Thankyou!
