AdBlock for Firefox

This still exists?? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Adblock Plus was written like a decade ago. 14 million plus users. ..but hey, knock yourself out using something inferior.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5.1).

Smart HTTPS (revived)

What is this, a joke?? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I was shocked to see the Firefox Devs recommending a third party add-on, Smart HTTPS. Smart HTTPS is actually pretty stupid, and does not include complex rulesets. The Electronic Freedom Foundation has spent a LOT of time making sure that hundreds of the most common violators of this issue are dealt with correctly. HTTPS Everywhere may not redirect everything everywhere, but it does fix even the most complex rule breakers, like Facebook. Check out this link and click through to the Facebook ruleset for an example. https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/atlas/

The Electronic Freedom Foundation has spent a lot of time and resources developing this, and they should be congratulated. The author of Smart HTTPS should be ashamed, and ought to team up with the EFF.

ScrapBook

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm back, Pocket can go stuff it where the sun don't shine. ^^

I see a lot of people wanting an android version of Scrapbook, might want to look in to that.

Also, the only reason I went to Pocket in the first place was to back my stuff up online. Might want to look in to that. With a little bit of effort, you could grab up everyone who is ditching Pocket and make one heck of a big name for ScrapBook. :)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.6.1-signed.1-signed).

Pocket

Ever heard of ScrapBook?? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm ditching Pocket as well, it's gotten to be a pain in the arse, doesn't save a lot of stuff AND now it's online only. <sigh>

Well, I guess a lot of you don't realize, but there's an Add-on called ScrapBook that's been around for YEARS. It saves everything locally. I'm gonna re-install it and see if someone has an add-on to back it up online yet. If it does, Pocket has lost it's nitch entirely.

DeskSMS - Send and Receive Text Messages

Hidden Fee Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Don't bother.

Text to Voice

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Brilliant! But ah..

The author is using http://vozme.com/index.php?lang=en

If you want better quality voices, you might want to talk to them. ;)

How about an option to use a local text to speech engine?

I meant what I said, I still think your idea is brilliant. :)
