Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It does exactly what I wanted. I wanted to be able to search fields in the address book other than the default fields (i.e. name or email) afforded.
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The add-on works as expected with one exception. It does not appear to correctly resolve the URI scheme (e.g. 'http://') portion of a selection of text. Instead, one should exclude this from the selected text. That is, select 'www.somewhere.net' instead of 'http://www.somewhere.net'.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
A Great Idea Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This functionality could be really useful. All of the right things were done (i.e. thoughtful incorporation of regex) in the interface. Unfortunately, the function fails in execution. For example, let's say you wish to have all connections to a social networking site use the https protocol instead of http. There will undoubtedly be a lot of redirects performed. This function will simply cause your browser to spin in place. It may be ideal for very simple tasks but not for heavy duty use. The resource cost is too high and the wait too long. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
So Basic and So Necessary Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This feature is so basic and so necessary that I am surprised that it has not found its way to the base Firefox code already. Until web browsers and user's [uninformed] choices of browsers get in line with contemporary standards (i.e. scrolling table bodies with stationary headers), this utility will be useful. Try using consumerreports.org ratings tables without it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.2007070801).
