British English Dictionary (Updated)

When is English not English? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Strange review by GeoffreyD who said that "organization" in UK English is the correct spelling - not "organisation". However although the Oxford English Dictionary is the most recognised and accepted authority, is it not the correct British English spelling - "organisation" is and is generally accepted in the UK as being the correct spelling. From Wikipedia:"American spelling avoids -ise endings in words like organize, realize and recognize. British spelling mostly uses -ise, while -ize is also used (organise/organize, realise/realize, recognise/recognize) the ratio between -ise and -ize stands at 3:2 in the British National Corpus."The point is, the use of -ise is NOT incorrect and is not an error.

StretchClock Break Reminder - Desk Yoga

Doesn't do it for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I see the point of the app but opening a new window and jumping to it when you are in the middle of working on something is absolutely infuriating. Not for me, sorry.

Take A Break

Good idea, but flawed Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I trade online so spend countless hours on the computer and have more aches and pains than I would like as a result so this seemed like a great idea. But I use a touchscreen PC and unfortunately as soon as the pop-up reminder appears and the screen is touched it disappears again. So since I'm using the PC and touching the screen most of the time, it disappears from the screen in a millisecond if I'm in the middle of using the touchscreen at the time before I have even had the chance to read it. I assume the touch clears it from the screen. I've never seen the 15-minute flashing icon either. OS = Windows 8, though I'm using the "traditional" Win7 desktop.
