FABULOUS add-on. It allows me to control the zoom on all sites with just one or two clicks. I love it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (12.0).
This add-on has no options. When I select it, it loads the image in a new tab and then it switches me to the new tab. But I don't WANT to be switched to the new tab; I want to stay in the tab that I am in. Despite this serious drawback, I'm using the add-on only because there isn't a better add-on available. It seems to me that it shouldn't take too much work to add the option that I want; I hope the developer will do it.
By the way, Neuroxik is wrong. Middle-clicking opens any link associated with the image in a new WINDOW, or -- if there is no link -- it opens the picture in a new WINDOW if there is no link. There's a huge difference between opening a picture in a new tab and in a new window. I don't want 50 windows open on my desktop.
It would be nice if the add-on had the option to save only the largest image on the page (largest in terms of dimensions). I frequently download pictures from pages that have one large image on the page (the featured image) and then have a bunch of thumbnails at the bottom that show the pages before and after. Also, who wants to download all the graphics on a page along with the image you want? If this change were made, it would be perfect for me.
I just figured out that I can specify a minimum image size, which is doing approximately the same thing. I've just upgraded my rating to 5 stars. Thank you.
It took me only a short time to figure out how FoxReplace works. It definitely made my work easier for one job that I was doing. Here are my suggestions to make it more useful. (1) Have an option to make replacements in the same capitalization as the word being replaced. (2) Have an option to replace the text in input fields only (or perhaps they're called form fields?). (3) The search/replace bar would be greatly enhanced if there could be more than one, even if the multiple bars take up window space. However, this add-on, as presently written, is better than nothing. Good work. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.12.2).
I don't like the fact that the tab bar disappears altogether when only one tab is open (I couldn't find a way to change that). The add-on also conflicts with other add-ons, such as an add-on that puts a New Tab button on the left. The colors of the tabs could be improved -- there's not enough contrast between the current tab and the other tabs. I ended up disabling Tab Kit.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.3).
After right-clicking and selecting "Search Dictionary for ...", it should then open the dictionary window so I can read the definition without clicking on the window's tab. If I am looking up a definition of a word I don't know, I'll want to read it immediately. By the way, I'm getting some kind of "file time out" prompts since I installed this extension. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).
