Empty Cache Button

NOT A WebExtension - what's going on? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Despite the claim made by the author, this is not a WebExtension. I can't understand why the author would make the claim in the first place; installing any version hosted by AMO will cause Firefox to tell you that a restart is required for the extension to work.

Also, no uploads have taken place since 2014, before the Firefox WebExtensions API was available.

And, finally, there is no contact information for the developer; no addon homepage; no bug report form; and no other way to communicate with the developer to ask her/him what's going on.

I wouldn't consider installing this extension until:

a) The developer lists a support site or other support / contact information, and;

b) Either retracts the WebExtension claim or provides a completely rewritten version of the addon that actually supports the claim made.

Ink for Google™

I'd like to like this, but... Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The post-install page with ads keeps opening every time I start Firefox. Until this is fixed, I'm removing the addon.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.2.11).

Random Agent Spoofer

Really excellent work Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Gorgeous interface, does what it says, and even allows editing of individual OS / browser string combinations. Seems to remember edits - haven't tested restarting browser as yet.

View Dependencies

Abandoned Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Broken for the last ten or so releases of Firefox.

Dorando keyconfig

A major reason not to abandon Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was starting to think really hard about just using Chrome--well, probably Vivaldi--instead of Firefox. Mozilla are INSANE for not allowing users to customize keys. Agree with dotstar that Firefox is driving away much of its core audience.

I can't believe you got this working on Firefox for Android, too.

Thank you!

dotstar's link has some really useful stuff. I'd love to see a JS recipe for freeing memory (about:memory) via keyconfig...

Redirector

Brilliant! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

With just a handful of rules, I'm skipping some truly awful interstitial advertising during logins to a few sites.

Thank you!

Auto Private

Works well; needs a UI Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I'm not yet sure whether I'm going to keep this; having to go into about:config to add a new domain is seriously inconvenient.

Please, please add at least a minimal UI with a list of "automatic" domains or URLs to enable management (removal) and a text entry field to add new ones. (See NoScript's whitelisting UI.)

Please also add a support link or other method of contacting you. We're not supposed to be posting bug reports and feature requests in reviews.

Expire history by days

Excellent! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Would love to see this incorporate the "only if visited fewer than X times" functionality from PlacesCleaner ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/placescleaner/ ), which is now abandoned...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.0).

Game Deals

Excellent little addon, but needs work Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I don't see a link for a support site or other contact, so...

At least on Steam, the 'best prices' are not appearing anywhere I can find on the page. I unchecked the option to show the extension's icon in the address bar because it's conflicting with the metrics set by Classic Theme Restorer and bloating the address bar vertically. I expected unchecking the address bar option to cause the icon to appear somewhere else, but it didn't; now the extension has no interface at all.

If the extension isn't going to draw on store pages reliably for now, a standard addon bar icon to access the extension would be appreciated.

Thanks!

PlacesCleaner

Abandoned Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Still does not have a Firefox 4.0+ addon bar icon. Now requires two or three taps to produce a message that places have been cleaned. It's decaying.

Referrer Control

May be abandoned Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, many widgets aren't working in newer releases of Firefox, and it's not even completely clear whether the rules work, either - I have a "skip" rule set up to fix the extension breaking Google logins, but it's no longer working.

I remain baffled as to why the addons.mozilla.org administrators haven't set up a process to report abandonware.

Add-on Update Checker

Indispensable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Would love to see a version that works with Firefox for Android!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.13).

CipherFox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's a great idea, but doesn't actually seem to do anything - I assume because it's still written to display in the very, very ancient "status bar" widget that Mozilla eliminated a long time ago.

Incompatible with any halfway-recent build of Firefox.

EDIT: CipherFox does indeed appear in the Site ID dialog. However, it is still not visible anywhere else in the Firefox UI.

DownThemAll!

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The tiny "fix" for Firefox 36 is incomplete. DTA has to be registered as download handler every time Firefox is started and DTA frequently fails to complete downloads it had no trouble with prior to Firefox 36. DTA still requires major fixes to modernize it and restore its functionality.

Use something else. Anything else.

FoxReplace

Maybe it's time to solicit help from other developers to get the outstanding issues and feature requests fixed / implemented.

Searchbar Autosizer

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's a great add-on, but it's veeery broken with 34b11.

Referrer Control

Really useful addon. Thanks for all the work!

Location Bar Enhancer

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I'd love to use this, but the background breadcrumb image isn't cropped properly--using any of the 4 styles--in Firefox 30b2 on Linux. Instead, all the text is pushed to the very top of the location bar, and the location bar expands to show the entire background image.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.1.1-signed).

PlacesCleaner

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on, but doesn't have an icon or button that's visible in Firefox 29 beta. Please update.

It's All Text!

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Abandoned? There are still outstanding bugs with respect to Stylish, but the author is no longer replying to the Stylish developer or updating the extension in any other visible way.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1.1-signed).
