File your complaint with Mozilla's feedback system.. I did Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Until the devs at Mozilla pull their heads out of their a$$e$ and restore the normal addon bar, this addon will work nicely.
I for one will not allow Mozilla to cut features and CLAIM to offer customization, when that customization does not offer such a plainly desired element people are used to and want...
If enough of us complain about the removal, and specifically ASK for an optional element in the customization panel, they may/should give us what we want.
I specifically mentioned many of us abandoning Mozilla products through alienation on their part if our needs are so ignored by developers... PLEASE do the same.
If we just let them remove useful features, they will keep doing it until they realize what it does to their market share... if they ever pay attention.
So happy someone made a fix that works for now... but what to do in the future when they change FF code again and disable the bottom area altogether?
Best thing we can do is file complaints via the Mozilla feedback system from the Help menu: Submit feedback....
Thanks to everyone who follows through with an official complaint.
Thanks to the developer of this addon bar addon....
Poor instructions for chrome / iron browser. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I'd like to give it zero stars because the newest version for chrome and iron browsers doesn't work, even after restarting them, despite the extensions dialog indicating it is installed correctly..
Maybe something changed since August, when the last version came out?
In any case, there's little support information available..
Instructions simply state to click the download button...
There is no download button for any videos I have looked at on YouTube.
Disapointed I will have to open Firefox 17 and use the always working Video Download Helper (which has never had forced ads for downloading the way I want to)
I was hopiong to avoid Firefox until a better version came out for FLASH sites...
Software in general is getting worse instead of better..
More constant updates and they leave out stable versions by continuous development of features before stability is reached...
It's a sad sad day.
How 2 install Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Why isn't it posted in the author's article?
Right click the download button and select to save as.
Unzip the .XPI file.
Edit the Install.rdf file with WORDPAD.
Edit the line about firefox MAXVERSION to a number like 11 or 12, and save it back to the location you extracted the files from.
RE-Zip all of the files back into one zip file and change the .ZIP extension to .XPI .
Install and Enjoy!
(If you need more help doing this, GOOGLE "how to edit install.rdf" without the quotes.)

I think problems in Abduction are related to firefox's recent updates.
Abduction used to be great.... now it's only OK.
It used to support increasing the selection rectangle beyond beyond the height of the viewport.
now it is broken.
Bug to fix and note to violator.. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It doesn't even work on 3.58.....
It used to allow me to grow a manual loop beyond the viewport size.
Now when I scroll it MOVES the selection box... even if I am only using the up and down keys to move the page.
I need to grab a large vertical image of a page, like it USED to do...
Oh, and apelsinen, your comment does not belong here.. this is for comments on THE SOFTWARE, not your opinion of people here.
The author can police his own feedbacks.
This is for legitimate complaints or praise.
If I could drag around more than just the height of the viewport, like it used to support, I would have nothing but kudos for the author and his software.
I am asking for a bugfix for a broken feature, so don't flame me, copper.... LOL
Update for FF3.0Beta2? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Works great in FF2... unfortunately I am running Portable Firefox 3 Beta 2 for testing.. and I would like to know if and when an upgrade will come out to support FF3b2...
It would be nice to know if there are any memory leaks with FF3b2 or any addons I regularly use.
I appriciate seeing my speeds in the bar to get an idea of network congestion on our small town WiMAX connection..
A page loading bar just doesn't cut it these days. :-)
Thank You for the great programming,
