As at least one other user pointed out it definitely needs an option to exclude certain entries from being moved to the new 'More Tools Menu' that is generated. For instance I'm primarily a Windows user but I do use Linux from time to time and have installed the 'Tools>Options... for Linux' Addon to add an 'Options' entry to the standard 'Tools' menu in the Linux version of Firefox (since that's where it is in the Windows version to access Firefox configuration preferences/options, just makes it easier for me to remember). But with MTM it moves that entry to the new menu it creates, defeating the purpose of adding the addon that created the 'Options' entry in the first place.
I've been using this addon through several versions now and it seems like every other update one feature or another gets broken (almost like the developer doesn't bother to test it before submitting it to the mozilla addsons site). This time around (as has happened several times before with this addon), the option to specify a certain number of rows seems to be broken again. Instead of only displaying 3 rows (as I have it configured to do), it insists on showing all of the rows (in my case this ends up displaying 5 rows) and no scrollbar. Guess I'll have to once again disable it until this feature is fixed (again). And yes I did uninstall it then I restarted Firefox and reinstalled then restarted Firefox again only to find that it still wouldn't work. Great extension when it does work, sadly though updates usually break it it seems.
Update: Well it seems this addon does still work on my Windows installation of Firefox, just not on my Kubuntu Linux install of Firefox (both are running Firefox 14.0.1 as of this edit). I wonder if maybe there's a file permissions problem resulting from using the Firefox Sync features to sync my favorites and other items that may be causing this problem. Just really frustrated/disappointed that this same problem seems to keep recuring so frequently with this addon, I even tried going in and disabling EVERY addon besides Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar (and Ubuntu Firefox Modifications) only to STILL have this problem present on my Linux install of Firefox only.
Additionally it seems that even if you uninstall this addon it leaves behind several entries in prefs.js, but that doesn't seem to be what's causing the problem as I manually cleaned up and removed those entries and still the problem persisted upon re-installing the addon.
Recently after restarting Firefox I noticed that for some reason the new version of Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar that was automatically installed does not seem to pay any heed to the number of rows I specifically specified in it's preferences settings. Instead it is displaying all rows (as many as is needed to display the full contents of my Bookmarks Toolbar), in this instance I have the number of rows set to 3, but since this is apparently being ignored my bookmarks toolbar now is taking up a full 5 rows. Additionally it screwed up my customized toolbar icons, and my All-In-One Sidebar Icons. Currently this problem is affecting more than one of my computers and needs to be fixed!!!!!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.4). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Installed this addon as a replacement for the Multirow Bookmarks addon that has now incorporated 'sponsored ads' in it with no way provided to disable those ads. So far I am happy with this addon, though I am a little confused as to why I have a 'show more bookmarks' button showing up even though I have a vertical scrollbar that allows me access to all of my bookmarks anyway. To me I think there should be an option to disable the 'show more bookmarks' button if I want to (especially since like I said there's already a vertical scroll bar there that lets me access all of the bookmarks anyway).
Edit: Since restarting Firefox, I no longer have the 'Show more bookmarks' button I mentioned above, not sure why it was there before but not now.
After having numerous problems with downloading files from numerous sites, I finally tracked the problem back to this addon. In light of the problems it caused me (and yes I went addon by addon by addon to track the problem) I can't recommend this addon at this time. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).
Exported my bookmarks (all of them) just fine as near as I could tell, however when I went to import them into my firefox installation on another computer the import function hung and never finished (I left it running for 3 hours!).This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Those complaining about needing an update might want to instead checkout the 'Screengrab' addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146) which provides the same type of functionality as this addon, but does work with Firefox 3.5. I would guess that this addon has been abandoned considering that the last time the author posted any comments was over a year ago. Hope this helps everyone. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.026).
