It also has a working PaleMoon version Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This one plugs a little-known potential privacy/security hole. CDNs are widely used and serve important functions- they they also could open up some holes. This helps to plug them and this developer has it together.
Keep up the good work!
Well done- and working in PaleMoon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I tested it out and it really does work on both stinky Flash and HTML5 on a bunch of sites.
I do request that the author maintain PM support and eventually switch to writing for PM- a superior browser to Failfox.
This developer has it together. Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Ultimately I had to skip this one and uninstall it because I run a highly customized setup that uses vertical tabs that just was too incompatible.
Still, this probably is the best tab grouper out of a really broken lot. The developer has a great attitude and he really knows how to stick with it and solve problems.
So, for something I ultimately can't use this guy still is worth some stars for his attitude.
Enough with the bad updates! Rated 2 out of 5 stars
In some ways LP is still 5* and in some ways it is sliding to 1*.
In today's world going online without a PW manager is high-tech suicide and for many years LP was arguably the best one.
On the other hand LP has a long history of bugs and other issues that the developers consistently blew off fixing. Now they have issued a series of regressions. There kinda was the 4.0 which was so bad that apparently it was withdrawn. Now they are back to the 3 series- which they also are steadily making worse. I have seen it struggle to perform on a disturbing number of sites and the new UI is a massive regression. Are they dumbing it down for mobile? Either way even the new icon(s) also have to go. They HAD a good one that they really need to bring back.
Put it all together and the team there really needs to think things through and get it together.
It is working! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The 1.0.8 version fixed the language selection issue and this developer clearly is attentive.
The simple fact is that the annotations themselves were a good idea. The problem is that they quickly went from a useful tool to a spammy annoyance. YT is a better place with them just plain toggled off almost all of the time.
It works in PaleMoon if you roll it back one version. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
In order to make it work you need to run version 2.0.rev281.1. Then it will work in both the context menu and the status bar- which lives in PaleMoon and has been obliterated in Failfox.
The latest version was as if it wasn't there. Run PM and roll this back one version and it will work just fine.
EDIT: It actually is working- too well. It displays in both the context menu and the status bar- and then it remained there until I removed the extension. There was no way to toggle it and even Organize Status Bar could not remove the display.
I am giving up Rated 3 out of 5 stars
There are numerous reasons why I lost patience here:
Proxies in general are overrated and are best used as a situational tool. VPNs do a better job.
There is no PaleMoon support.
When it last worked there was no way of removing the toolbar text.
Now despite rolling back as far as 2013 versions(before growing frustrated) NO version of it that used to work now will appear at all. Aside from appearing in the add-on manager it is as if it isn't even there.
Excellent! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I tested it out and it really does work on a number of known sites that pester people about cookies. I understand the European situation- but many sites pester people who deliberately toggle them off.
Normally I give excellent part time/situational extensions 4 stars- but the addition of PaleMoon support gave it the coveted 5th star.
Dropped Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Dead Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Maybe I had been doing too good of a job of entering in addresses- but this one probably has done nothing for years.
The last update was in 2012- meaning that things like Australis aren't a factor. It recently got tested- including with the very examples given on this very page and nothing happened at all. It was as if the extension wasn't even there.
It still (mostly) is working in PaleMoon Rated 4 out of 5 stars
OK, it has long since been abandoned(2011) and it used to be a complete blockbuster.
Still, when using PM it doesn't need many updates because it is a stable platform that doesn't make gut-wrenching changes every 5 minutes.
On PM there is no issue with it getting stuck on donations. The only known issue (besides abandonment) is it fails to eliminate web search forms when deleting forms- and AFIK Clear Form History can't do that either.
For now that is a hole crying out for an extension writer to plug.
Very handy Rated 5 out of 5 stars
In those certain situations this one really shines!
Very good! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Perhaps at a later date you could offer some alternatives to Dictionary dawt calm.
Very good! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This one is completely underrated.
Thank you for your contributions! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This one is yet another underrated winner. BTW: it works perfectly fine on a superior browser: PaleMoon.
It still is working for PaleMoon Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The forums frequently have foul behavior, the site frequently goes down, a big portion of the buttons don't work- but still there are many goodies to be had.
IMO that still is enough to merit 4 stars for the capabilities that users can gain.
Nothing happening Rated 2 out of 5 stars
OK, this one looks like a cool capability to have. However, upon installation both icons appeared twice in the menu. I put them on the toolbars and then they don't do anything when pushed. Also, nothing appears in the context menu either.
This is on PM 25.7 x64.
Please respond and lets see if there is a fix. I naturally will boost up the review and add some stars. Thank you!
1.6.1 is the last working version for PaleMoon Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This one really needs a forked version for people who refuse to engage in the Australis stupidity. If you run PM you need version 1.6.1 and then refuse to update it.This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Please respond Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I don't like posting this in the review area- but Codefisher is giving a 502 error and I don't see any other contact methods. I would like to talk it over and perhaps wipe out this review and write a better one sometime soon.
There are some issues with AAB. I tried it on both PaleMoon and FossaMail.
On FM it installed- but the button was missing. Then on restart it appeared and could be placed- but it couldn't do anything. On the next restart it appears to be working as intended.
On PM it installed immediately and the button was there to be placed. However, like initially on FM it couldn't do anything. I tried a couple of restarts and it just can't do anything.
Please look into it and I would very much like to boost the review up a notch. Thank you in advance!
Many of the attacks on it are bogus Rated 5 out of 5 stars
WOT is performing beautifully. It is true that any ratings done by actual humans are not going to be infallible. Users should read them and keep their brain engaged.
However, it appears that there is an organized campaign here to discredit WOT and it's community. Yes, many sites have been hurt by WOT. Sometimes that is the very goal of having a community who can fight back.
What isn't included in some of the complaints here is how many of the sites are/were dangerous, virus infected, scammers, snake oil sellers, hate sites...
If a legitimate site has been hurt they can go onto the site or even contact the community and ask for reviews. There is a process and most of the regulars in the community are reasonable people who will weigh the evidence.
The bottom line is even the ratings here need to be taken with a big grain of salt.
