Swift Selection Search

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great replacement for FastestSearch, which frankly is taking far too long to update for FF57 *cough*... However, I notice this addon doesn't work if highlighting text in the disqus comment system, in particular. Would you mind having a look?

Fantastic, thank you Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was hoping (in vain seemingly) that the original author would port this over to a webextension versions, so thank you! A small request if it's not too much trouble: would you be able to import the Rikaichan Japanese names dictionary file, or at least offer the option to? Other than that, thank you so much for doing this! It's invaluable for learning = ) Cheers.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.4).

Tremendously useful -- webextension version? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi FFJon, Rikaichan is an indispensable tool for quite a few users; may I ask, will you be writing a webextensions version for FF57+, or is that just too much work?? It would be sorely missed if that's the case, so I hope you are able to find some time to write a webextensions version! Thank you regardless for this tremendous tool, a boon for the multilingual inclined amongst us.

A plea for the developer to release a webextensions version Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a tremendously useful little add-on, so let me reiterate and add to the chorus of users in pleading with the developer to please release an updated webextensions version for FF 57+! Thank you.

Browsec VPN

Webextension version? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi guys, this is a useful addon so thank you. With the advent of FF 57, will a webextension version be available in the future or will we unfortunately have to look for alternatives to Browsec?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.16.13).

Fastest Search - Browse/Search Faster!

Non-legacy version? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Hi Mingyi, thank you for writing such a great little addon. However, with the change to add-on compatibility in FF 57 going forward, will a non-legacy version of Fastest Search be released? I can't imagine browsing without Fastest Search, to be honest! Cheers, I certainly hope so. Thank you again.

*edit* Smartbox disappearing and not displaying despite using the keyboard shortcut -- pretty disappointed with this and the continued silence from developer. I tried the fix that Leonel suggested but it didn't work; CTRL + ALT + L didn't bring up any sort of notification or refresh.

*reply to author* Fair enough, Mingyi and sorry if it came across as patronizing when I said 'little addon' -- that's more on this user not utilizing its full capability, I'm sure, and it can't be easy to constantly re-write and edit each time for every iteration of FF. So I guess FS is not going to work beyond 56? That's really disappointing to hear. Would a compromise be possible at all? For instance, is it possible for the smart searchbox functionality to be ported over in some fashion?

Please change the window placement back to they way it was in 2.09... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The current placement of the default mouseover menu in 3.00 blocks the kanji the cursor is hovering over. Please correct this in a future iteration, so the translation menu displays directly below the cursor as it does in 2.09.

I realize there is an option to choose alternate locations but personally I prefer the menu showing up right where the cursor is. Otherwise, this is a very useful tool for Kanji learners. Thanks again guys.
