My Reviews

Youtube Video and Audio Downloader

Stopped working! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Used to be ***** but now just gives a link with a gibberish URL & a blank page. VERY dissapointed, since I rely on DLing videos on account of my connection (& therefore my ability to watch via stream) being iffy.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.1).

4.9.21a1 works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

My Innert00bz connection is a little iffy, which makes streaming videos a shaky proposition at best, so I DL pretty much everything I want to watch. In short, this extension makes YouTube possible for me. I was so upset when it stopped working…it's FINALLY working again thanks to the new 4.9.21a1 version (which has to be DLd from their site, see July 26the update above)!

Adblock Plus

Sorry about that rant… Rated 5 out of 5 stars

…I thought it wasn't working, but it turned out to be a corrupt install. Back to a solid 6 stars out of 5! :-)

Working again! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!1! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just upgraded to FF7 (Mac OSX 10.6) - my FF6 must have gone wonky & borked it…thanks to developer for this AWSUM time-saving tool!

Broken! FF6, Mac

Must have been a problem with my FF6 - it's fine with FF7 now.

BlockSite

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

A "block this site" contextual menu item would make this so much easier! Why just have a dialog box where you have to type (or paste) in the info?

Good, but you don't need this if you have MRTech Toolkit installed.

Greasemonkey

GM is among the top 5 on my "Install this or die!" list. I'd give it 6 out of 5 stars if it included a way to automatically sort the scripts list A-Z. Dragging 50+ scripts around to sort them is a real drag(!).

Doesn't work in FF3.0.4 - but FF3.0.4 is so buggy, I downgraded back to FF3.0.3. Works great in FF3.0.3. It's one of the extensions I can't live without...... I hope a version for FF3.1 is forthcoming. :-)

I love this extension, but when I tried to install this version on FF 3.0.4, keeps coming up unable to install/invalid file hash.

Digg Extension for Firefox

It's good, but when I tried to install it on FF3, it came up incompatible. Wazzup?

Not for FF3? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good extension. I used it with FF2, but when I tried to install it on FF3, came up incompatible. Wazzup?

Naughty doggie. Doesn't play nice with InFormEnter, which I've been using for a long time, and since I don't have a lot of online accounts, FF's password manager is really all I need anyway. Bye-bye, doggie.

eQuake Alert

Coming from earthquake country.......... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

..........I think this is a pretty cool gadget except for one very minor annoyance. Whenever it goes off, it kicks Firefox into full-screen. Not really a bad thing, just a little disconcerting until you get used to it.

Flashblock

Down with clutter! Up with speed (sort of)! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Blocking all that flashy-flash splash trash is about the only way folks like me who own old slow-dog 'puters can even get around the web. Who needs all that trash anyway, huh? It's what a couple of my friends in the desktop publishing biz (both paper and web) refer to as "Every-Trick-in-the-Book Syndrome" ("We've got all the tools and tricks and a gazillion-Ghz machine, and we have to use them all at once to show that we know how!")
