Absolutely necessary! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Anytime I have to get a familiar computing environment set up on a new system, right after I install Firefox, I install All in One Sidebar -- I would find FF far less intuitive without it! It does so many things, all of them useful, but it can be dismissed from view (and then recalled when needed!) with one click! That is just brilliant; please don't ever stop updating this one! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.15.1-signed).

Ok, I was wrong; for some reason I don't understand, it started working, though when I first installed it, it didn't appear to do anything, just a blank screen. No idea why it did that, or why it suddenly started working, but it does in fact work with FF 8.0.1, and I am really REALLY glad about that, because it's by far my favorite extension. Kudos! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.1-signed). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
How did I ever live without this? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been making websites for about 12 yrs, but only discovered Firebug about 3-4 yrs ago, and in that time, it has become absolutely indispensable -- I really don't know how I ever did any web creation without it. However, I really wish I could put a button for it on my status line again, the way it used to be, instead of this "f12" business, or having to mouse thru several levels of menu. I suppose f12 is simple enough, but I really miss that status line button. If there is a way to put it there in the newer versions of Firefox, I'm not finding it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
have to agree, it doesn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Have to agree with upisdn and the other who said it doesn't work -- you can advise people to "read above" all you like, that doesn't make it work in 8.0.1. It really is too bad, because again I agree with upisdn, it WAS the best add-on for FF, EVER. Too bad it doesn't work anymore. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.1-signed). Not working with 3.6.11? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
My firefox just updated itself to 3.6.11, and I had thought Clear Cache was updated also, but I'm finding that it doesn't seem to be working... when I upload a changed image, I'm so used to just hitting the Clear Cache button, refresh, and there's the new image... but now I find that I can't see the new image until I menu to tools/clear cache. Really hope this addon will get updated, it's a time-saver, and I echo the comment above that having it go ahead and refresh would be a real time-saver as well. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9c).
no more new windows?!?!? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Just got upgraded to 2.22b, and all I want to know is, WHERE THE HECK IS THE OPTION TO OPEN IN A NEW WINDOW?!?!?!
Didn't mind the spam half as much, I got rid of it real fast, but how do I get the open-in-new-window option back??
I've heard of adding features; never encountered removing a beneficial feature before. Hate it. Put it back.
Ok, now I've wasted an entire 24 hrs trying to either revert to an earlier version of Fast dial, or even to roll my whole system back via System Restore, and nothing is working, to get a previously-working Fast Dial installation working again -- I have no fast dial icons at all, and when I click on the context menu "Add to Fast Dial" I don't get that little animated thingie in the bottom right corner telling me that it has been added -- and when I open a new tab, there's nothing on it.
Do I need to completely uninstall Firefox to get this beast fixed back to how it was, BEFORE you took out the new tab/new window options? You can't customize ANYTHING with preferences, the only preferences shown are for how Fast Dial LOOKS, not how it works -- opening in a new tab or window.
So I guess I'll have to switch to Speed Dial, which isn't as good (as fast dial USED TO BE) since it offers so few icons onscreen, and also doesn't have a setting to always open in a new tab -- but at least you can right-click and open in a new tab -- you can't even do that anymore in fastdial.
If removing spam is why those good features got lost, hey, put the spam back in; I took it out of mine once, I can do it again.
Please fix this thing; it was a great tool, now it's just... gone. *sigh*
