Why bother? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
If I can't display the icon where I want it, what's the point? Firefox is an enormously flexible application (at least until Australis hits) and I have my browser precisely the way I want it -- and that means addon icons go where I put them, or they go away, never to be heard from again.
I'd be using the Weather Channel addon if it were still being maintained; ForecastFox is unacceptable to me for personal reasons having to do with Accu-Weather. If the alternatives are amateurish and inflexible, why bother?

If only Thunderbird's developers had some adult supervision this add-on wouldn't have been necessary. Thank you for doing this. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168).
So far so good Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I'm using this add-on with Fx 11 (Win7, x64) and having no trouble so far.
In fact I came here wondering if this could work on Thunderbird, now that TB 11 has put the tab bar above the menu bar with no apparent user option -- Firefox at least allows the user to decide.
Anyway, if the creator of this add-on were to decide to look into a similar one for Thunderbird, as things stand right now I'd prefer it over what TB's developers have imposed without bothering to ask.
Good, at least until today Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The sync server seems to be down. Fortunately the Firefox 11 beta now includes add-on sync.
(March 6) Since Siphon appears to still be down and Firefox 11 will go to final release in about a week anyway, I would suggest those who can wait for 11 do so -- and those who can't wait can upgrade to the 11 beta like I did.
Thanks again, Silverhawk Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Those five stars ARE for you, because you have taken on a thankless task to keep alive an addon its creators have abandoned. This user has 3 previous reviews of this add-on.

(Star rating is aimed at TWC for abandoning this addon.)
Your link to 22.214.171.124 still downloads 126.96.36.199, which doesn't work on FF8
TWC needs to resume responsibility for this addon Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Since this addon only works on Firefox 3.x.x, which is now being pushed to 8.0.1, TWC needs to update this addon to keep it current.
One thing I'd like to see is full toolbar mobility, so that I can put the display on any toolbar my browser supports by using the "Customize..." command in Firefox, instead of being limited to the few options offered in the addon's preferences -- especially since one of those is no longer included in the current version of Firefox.

Have you stopped maintaining this addon? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.3). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Still an excellent add-on; just one small issue Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Not much point telling us "no bug reports" here if there's no other feedback mechanism. Anyway, this may not be something that can be fixed in the extension but if so:
I use this extension to sync my iPhone contacts with Thunderbird; however not all of my iPhone contacts have email addresses, and when Thunderbird loads groups and encounters a contact in that group that has no email address, it stops loading contacts in that group.
I've done a temporary fix by putting nonexistent email addresses in those contacts, but it would be better if this behavior could be corrected somehow.

I've never contemplated trying to create an addon but I was going to learn just because I wanted one that did THIS. Thank you and five stars for saving me the trouble.

I would like for this add-on NOT to lose my settings every time it updates. This is the only extension I use that can't save settings across updates, and it's starting to get on my nerves.

Yes, *please* update it for TB3.

I use ExpressionEngine for my personal blog, which isn't supported by this extension. I wouldn't mind seeing EE added to the list of supported platforms. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.8).
