Because of the recent eBay problems with potentially compromised passwords I changed mine and FF wouldn't remember the new one. I tried deleting the eBay login entries in the Password Manager (Saved Passwords) to start over, but FF still wouldn't present the dialogue to save the login details. After trying several other add-ons I read about this one and it's worked like a charm, solving the problem because it enabled me to enter the login details manually after which the autofill worked perfectly. Also it's very easy to use.
Many thanks to the developer! (contribution on it's way)
Using an older version of FF (3.6.28) on an older Mac running OS 10.4.11 (Tiger). Version of SPE installed = 2.6.4 (not the latest presumably because of my older version of FF)
Installed this on my Mac some time ago and it's excellent. Now just installed it on my PC (Windows XP SP3 + FF20.0.1 and it works like a charm! Essential piece of kit if designing web sites etc incl. CMS solutions. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.2).
This version (1.6.1) **is** working fine with FF 20.0.1 on Windows XP SP3, ***but** you need to turn off the FF built-in feature "Don't load tabs until selected" - simply uncheck the box (developer:might be an idea to add a warning to this effect?) In fact I've found this FF feature doesn't work anything like as well as the Add-on!
Tried modifying the userChrome.css file to get rid of the Bookmarks toolbar icons, but the chevron arrows (visible far right if you have too many bookmarks to fit on the toolbar) and folder arrows disapeared too. This add-on fixed solved the issue apart from the folder triangles, but I can live without them anyway! Now I have more visible bookmarks which is great. NB: I got rid of the CSS code before installing the add-on.
Invaluable, can't-live'without enhancement to FF. Worth it's weight in gold! I have just one small niggle in that it disables FF's "Don't load Tabs until selected" feature which in itself is an excellent feature for mutible-Tab users. The developer has said before that he intends to address this so let's hope it's do-able and he does! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.0.3).
Unbelievable add-on that completely transforms using the web. Can't believe other browsers haven't addressed the issue of trying to view all those awfully designed web sites out there. I hope the developer has copyrighted this masterpiece!
Re my review just posted, the comments regarding the URL load order apply to my PC running Windows XP with FF 12.0 (latest version). It is NOT a problem on my Mac which is running a slightly older version of FF. On this setup My Weekly Browsing follows the displayed order when loading Tabs. If I move a list entry up or down in MWB's list the load order follows suit. If this is a Windows or FF issue let's hope it can be fixed as I have to use Windows as well as my Mac! (but no more than I need to)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.4). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
I can't recommend this add-on too highly and wouldn't want to live without it now! Works great for me in Mac and PC FF versions. I do however have one frustration with it in that it seems impossible to predefine the order in which it loads the URLs. This was mentioned here last December and it looked like the developer was going to address the issue. Let's hope he/she does! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.4).
