Working strange Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Strange, since it wasn't working correctly, I disabled it. Then it says to restart Firefox, but I didn't do this yet and Interclue seems to be working normal.
But if I restart Firefox, it will really disable it.
Slit mess-up Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I went through support, no real way to make contact. Not a big issue, probably something minor, but mousing over the satellite icon view now shows the temperature view, but clicking it shows the satellite view. The temperature icon shows the temperature as normal. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.11.1-signed.1-signed). Stops working Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Worked great with FF3, but now on FF4, it just stops working.
"An error occured whilst trying to initialize Interclue".
So I wrote the people to report the bug, never hear back, so I am now reporting here.
I'll disable it, not remove it and wait until its fixed.
Not a real problem Rated 5 out of 5 stars
There are slight differences in the reported weather and I 'think' this is mainly because the reports are gathered from data collected at local airports by the weather services. My international airport is about 12 to 15 miles south east of my location and our local airport is about 8 miles south west of my location and that alone with cause variations in the actual local weather where you are.
However my situation is a bit different, I live less than 1-mile from Lake Erie and sometimes I find that the marine forecast can be a bit more accurate because the 'near-shore-marine-forecast' is dependent on what is going on over the open water in the warmer months and ice cover in the colder months. Also lake effect snow falls 15 to 25 miles east of my location, so when the alert starts flashing, it usually is for the whole state and may not effect me directly, but its still good to know and have the alert as a back-up and a general idea as to what the weather is doing.
Now Fixed. Not a bug? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm not sure what the problem was or on my neighbor's across the hall, we both have totally different connections to the web, mine is cable and his is with DSL. But it has been fixed somehow and is back working the way it was meant to work for about a day of two.
Therefore I have to change the rating on this Addon back up to a 5-Star.
Bye Bye XMarks Rated 3 out of 5 stars
What do I think?
I'll tell you what I think! If my PC should crash or I loose building power, I can not walk across the alley to the public library and retrieve my bookmarks because the library PCs are all locked down, therefore I can not install Firefox or Firefox Sync to access my bookmarks!
Yes, XMarks was better, at least with a password I could access them from ANY PC on ANY network, using ANY browser!
Thankfully I saved my XMarks bookmarks as a file I can open, copy to a word doc or copy into an e-mail and email them to myself!
