Temporary Containers

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very cool!

One minor issue, though: in right click menu "Open Link in New (Container) Tab" option "No container" does not work, link is still opened in temporary container.

Also, it would be nice to have an option to open external links in temporary container with regular left click (without Ctrl).

Thanks for this addon!

Click To Contain

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very nice!

Not yet fully functional, though: it does not work on some sites like Google search, so search result ends up in the same container as Google search (that is probably because Google changes link with JS). Hope it gets fixed. Thank you for working on this extension!

Containerise

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very cool!

CSV import and wildcard support are killer features, which make it possible to create AdBlock-like public lists, so I've created some that I use myself (Google, Facebook, reddit, vk.com, Russian banks):

https://github.com/shvchk/containerise-lists

E.g. to place all sites into "No container" by default I use `tld.txt`, otherwise external links open in the same container you were in when clicking on the link, so for example if you have Google container (see `google.txt`), sites opened from search results page end up in Google container too, which is probably not what you want.

So, suggestions:

• Would be nice to have this "default container" feature integrated, maybe as an option like "By default open links in this container"). Created Github issue: https://github.com/kintesh/containerise/issues/10

• Would be nice to have uBlock/AdBlock-like list subscription and management to make containers more usable for non-tech mainstream users

• If community AdBlock-like managed domain lists become a thing, Containerise would need to manage very large lists, so performance is really something to keep in mind. I now have around 2000 domains in Containerise list without any problems, though.

• Support internationalized domain names. Created Github issue: https://github.com/kintesh/containerise/issues/10

Thanks for this awesome extension!

Suspend Tab

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It was once an essential addon, one of the first I would install everywhere. Now with 700 tabs it makes Firefox veeeeeery long to start (we are talking about minutes, and that's on a SSD) and consume 2GB RAM right from the start; after I disabled it, with the same 700 tabs FF started in under 10 seconds and consumes 780MB RAM. That was also the case with 300 tabs, just not that bad. Would never thought this addon made such a huge difference without a need to find a WebExtension one before FF 57 arrives. Have to replace. Hope it comes back as a WebExtension.

Nice icon!

Random Agent Spoofer

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

With user agents list **that** outdated it is pretty useless.

I do appreciate huge efforts invested in it though.

Unityfox Revived

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not compatible with multiprocess, though, but I see there is an issue filed about this in addon's gitlab repo. I have multiprocess force enabled with this addon and have no issues.

New Tab Tools

Not as good as Opera or Vivaldi default new tab, but still good.

Select like a Boss

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I was looking for which of my ~20 installed addons are not compatible with multiprocess, and this was one of the two, so I just came here to write this, but stumbled upon ZimM comment on memory consumption, and can confirm this is indeed the case: even on fresh start when all tabs are suspended and only one active, I get ~27-30% memory consumption increase with this addon (from 980 MB to 1250 MB, yeah, that's with a lot of tabs, but they are suspended). Other than that, this addon is nice to have, but I've disabled it for now.
