The latest version (2.3) here on addons-mozilla.org still works fine without issues (at least for me) but if you want to use the new version (3.2) which is a whole rewrite of the old add-on and also cross-browser compatible, you can download it here:
Awesome add-on! The latest update finally adds the great feature which warns you when you try to login using a weak or duplicated password. That way you can update your passwords easily while you are surfing and don't have to do a massive password update for all your passwords.
ALSO: To make sure you are using the latest stable version for Firefox, DOWNLOAD IT HERE: https://lastpass.com/download/cdn/lp_win.xpi
(unfortunately they didn't (yet?) release the latest version here in addons.mozilla.org)
Works as expected. Yes, the "Preferences"-Button is disabled. But that is intended and no bug. Go to the "Tools"-Menu and click on "PrivacyChoice TrackerBlock" which leads you to this site "http://www.privacychoice.org/trackerblock/firefox".
There you have the "preferences": You can choose to block no companies, all, only the ones without oversight or even pick the ones you want by yourself.
That's it. No need for more settings.
And yes, the addon works great. Very lightweight and no slowdown or whatsoever.
Btw, you can also test it against these two pages (you should not see any opt-out-cookies):
