My Reviews

Ctrl+Shift+Q Quit

Works perfectly Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Ctrl + Q quits the browser by default. This is unfortunate, because the shortcut is close to Ctrl-W (= close current tab).

This add-on remaps Ctrl + Q to Ctrl + Shift + Q, and also works in recent Firefox versions (and e10s), so you won't close Firefox by accident any more.

Edit: This add-on does not meet my needs on macOS because on macOS there is also a Command-Q shortcut. After being fed up with losing my tabs multiple times, I published an add-on that replaces Command-Q too: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-ctrl-q-and-cmd-q/

Always Right

Works perfectly, including Private browsing mode Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A big advantage of this add-on over the other similar add-ons is that this add-on only implements the promised functionality, and nothing else. There is no configuration: it just works without any surprises.

The add-on is open-source [1] and the author is very responsive: At first the add-on was not working in private browsing mode, so I contacted the author with a patch and a new update was published within a day.

Web Developer

Fix for Web Developer + NoScript Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The Web Developer toolbar is a must-have for web developers (arguably better than Firebug).

One of the features is showing all CSS / JavaScript (inline and external!) of the current page. Each slice can be collapsed, so that you don't have to scroll through a big wall of text before finding the desired line of code.

Unfortunately, the NoScript extension disables this feature. To save enable this feature again, I have written a Greasemonkey script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/133136

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.9.1-signed).
