This should have been a 5-star review except for one very important thing: it totally hashes up comments on Facebook. I could sometimes type in short comments that would post OK, but if I made a typo and tried correcting it, the cursor did not appear to backspace, although in reality and hidden, the backspacing was happening. I could guess and type in the correct characters and see a mish-mash word that I would hope would look OK when I posted. Often that worked. But other times the whole post would be rearranged randomly. I never saw apostrophes when typing a comment, but they showed when I posted. That was just for comments, though. Original posts worked fine. Chat in Facebook worked fine. But since mostly I comment, I was having to write comments in a text editor, then cut and paste into the comment box. It was months before I figured out Grammarly Lite was the culprit. Before it began hashing my comments, I really loved the extension and it was easily a 5-star application. I wish I knew what happened. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.32.1-signed).
Very good with a couple of quirks Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I'm giving this a workout now to save some forum signature graphics with quotes. It's working quite nicely. I do find that the blue box that appears shows up at a random size and location on the page, which is strange, but it's easy to move around and resize. I also wish I could save files as JPGs instead of PNGs, which are much larger files. I had tried Awesome Screenshot Plus, but that kept slowing down my computer after I saved a file and all I could to to solve that was reboot. Abduction! does not do that, so I'm happy. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed.1-signed).
Nice if it works - doesn't work for me Rated 3 out of 5 stars
While this addon looks like it has everything I could want in a screenshot utility, it has a fatal flaw on my computer.
Every time I save a screenshot after editing it, my disk activity light comes on, stays on, and the whole machine slows down. I have to reboot to fix that. Quitting Firefox does not solve the problem.
If this does not happen to you, you'll probably find this to be a good tool. I'd give this 5 stars if it worked properly on my machine.
