Downloading and trying programs is kind of a hobby for me since 1993. I love trying new programs and testing them. Needless to say, sometimes I have a large collection of freebies (and some not free) which I forget to delete. I've done this for years and have reviewed for three websites including Mozilla Add-Ons.
It is my hope that people who read reviews are careful in their selection of a product before installing it. Sometimes one person's good or bad review is the opposite for another. So, sometimes I download something even thought it has bad reviews, and sometimes I download something with good reviews and discover it to be either a dud or unsuitable for my needs. I usually post a review if the program really sucks or is really great, and rarely post if its in the in between range. I figure if its a mediocre program, it may suit someone else and I'd hate to give it a bad review. On the other hand, some of my reviews have included suggestions to the developer to improve how the program functions or change program features. If you think that doing so is not something I should do, I'd like to suggest that developers often put out beta programs just to get feedback and often welcome it even if its negative.
Although the colors are pretty, there are some issues with this program which make it not exactly what it could be.
First, the colors are very bright, and although you have the option to "highlite" the active tab, I don't see any difference when choosing this option.
Secondly, there are many options which are not clear as to what they do and after looking at the developer's web page for a "tutorial", I realized this program has a hard learning curve. Instead of this being a plug and play program, its one of those which the developer enjoys making as difficult to understand as he or she can make it.
My question before I uninstall this program is, why do you have to make a simple program so difficult to learn???
Is this supposed to be a Hebrew program or multi-language?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.4.5771).
No description of exactly how this works, and when you install it, there are no Option settings to set this up. There is no right mouse click option to play games. So, basically, you install this and ask yourself as you scratch your head, "What now?"
I used to use this service for free years ago, and then decided to pay the very reasonable small amount of yearly fee for unlimited service. Overall, the service is very good. I did have a problem recently with spam mail to email addresses which had expired, but when I wrote to the Trashmail service owner, he was not helpful. I am not sure if it was language barrier, but nothing I asked him to help with was understood. So, although the service is great and the idea of disposable email is great, should you ever need extra help from the owner/company, you may find it disappointing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.4).
I've been using this for a couple of months, and I can honestly say its a disappointment.
The user interface is not easy because you have to search for your archived notes instead of having an index. Today was the final straw, I categorized a tab, called it "Emails" for email addresses, and as soon as I categorized it, all the data was gone and the tab was not in the archive.
This program would be useful because its always on the ready to use and stays on top, but if its hard to save or find your data, whats the point of it??? It needs some major fixing to make it more user friendly.
To the developer, your idea is grand, but one thing these password keepers have overlooked. When someone takes their computer to be repaired by a third party, this third party now can hack all your passwords stored on your computer.
Is there a way for the owner of the passwords to protect them from intrusive eyes? How do I keep some stranger working on my computer from breaking into my password keeper?
Now, if only I could understand Japanese, I could understand all the screen captures and the instructions for this program. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.5).
