facepaste

Worthless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work at all. No option even visible from the right click menu for this add-on.

ImageHost Grabber

Doesn't Work, Just Locks Up Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Didn't work on aliexpress.com. It just sat there and locked up. Worthless.

Request... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Looks great, thanks for making this! :-)

Request: Can you add "image.animation_mode" to toggle between "normal" and "none" to turn GIF image animations on and off? Thanks!

Rainbow Color Tools

Perfect. Kudos! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Author, thank you for creating this add-on! Intuitive to use and works perfectly. Big improvement over ColorZilla by another author.

Page Ruler

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Works as intended, but not on every drag. Sometimes it doesn't create a measuring rectangle. However, the [ESC] key will clear the measure mode if you're stuck so that you can try again. Usually works on the second try. Overall it does a decent job, but no options to configure it. So as ander mentioned in their review, you can't efficiently measure smaller items since the readout is inside the box.

MeasureIt

No Firefox 6 support Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It seems the developer is always behind. MeasureIt frequently becomes worthless for every Firefox update. I've seen this pattern from all the way back to Firefox 2.0. Time to switch to a better developer for this functionality. I appreciate the developer spending the time to make and release this for free, but when it never works for new versions until a long time after they're released, what's the point?

TinyUrl Creator

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Buggy. Completely froze Firefox 3.6.3 Add-Ons window when clicking on options for TinyURL Creator. I dumped this add-on right after that.

Download Embedded

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Crashes whenever you load a pdf file in Firefox with Adobe's Reader 9 plugin. It's ok otherwise, but not very powerful. DownloadThemAll is much better.

It's All Text!

Poor install, buggy Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Using version 0.8.5, latest at the time of this writing, along with Firefox 3.0.3.

First of all, after I got it installed and working, it has a serious bug. On some sites, with just having it enabled (not using it), it will freeze FF when using the Back button or switching from one site to another. Not all the time, but just on some sites. If you attempt to click on the Home button in FF after this freeze, FF will crash. This happens on one of my sites, soldiersofvalor.org. Try going there with It's All Text enabled in FF 3.0.3, then go to one of your other bookmarks. Snap, it freezes as if loading the page forever. Disable this add-on and test. No issues.

Fails from the start. This add-on reports that it's unable to launch my text editor. I've tried Notepad++, Visual Studio, Notepad, and Wordpad. I'm running Win XP SP-3 with Firefox 3.0.1 and this add-on doesn't work. Very little troubleshooting or information about it from the author's site. Don't bother using if you are running FF3 and WinXP until a version is posted that is greater than 0.8.5.

Even then, with this track record of my experience, I'll never touch this add-on again unless I want a troubleshooting headache. Concept is great, execution is horrid.

/Find Bar/

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

DOES NOT WORK IN FF3 as others pointed out. That means this extension is worthless. It was last update in February of 2008. That shows the author doesn't really care about it much. Mozilla, please remove this entry (or tag for 2.0.x only) so that other software authors can write code in its place.

wikiHow Toolbar

Very handy! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Extremely helpful when patrolling for vandalism and spotlight/fa article edits. It\'s simple and effective, though it could use a more robust customization (ie: allow the individual buttons to be moved onto other toolbars). Thank you very much for creating this handy toolbar for wikiHow!

Works great for me. No hanging in Firefox 2.0.0.12. It's not a very useful add-on, since it doesn't allow people to do this directly from the toolbar. You have to click on it to open a dialog window. That's an unnecessary step.

Gspace

Amazingly convenient Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am very impressed with this author's gspace add-on for Firefox. It saved me from using my thumbdrive to transfer files between my home and work PC. Very intuitive (except for the pulldown menu for account selection before login), and seems to be reliable after I tried transferring 156MB of screen caps. It dumps them all into my inbox by default, but the Gspace FAQ confirms that it's same to apply a filter to "move" them into a label. I tried it and it works great! It even gives a nice status pane and thumbnail preview of each image! Awesome job. Truly a masterfully convenient add-on to an already convenient browser and convenient webmail service. I'll have to share this with my father so that he can backup his Quicken files on Gmail. I really appreciate the author putting in a disclosure about using statcounter. That's a very honest statement, and I don't mind my file types being counted for ad/marketing purposes, so long as no personal information or data is shared.
