Downloaded and got rid of this crap a long time ago. I cannot believe people are still falling for this crap. Last time I tried it my bank, HSBC, was red flagged! Have a look at this article http://www.affhelper.com/mywot-reviews-exposed/ and decide if you really want to trust a rigged site again. The bottom line is you don't need it, it cannot be trusted and most modern browsers/antivirus programs etc provide far better, truthful protection than you will ever get from this. Give WOT the red flag.
In response to the developer, you have answered nothing. HSBC may be green now but it was most certainly red when I first tried WOT. As I have always used Adblock no ads show up. If anybody reads that article or does a search on Google will find that the developer has not answered the questions raised in that article and merely tried to deflect the question in the same way a politician would do when they do not want to address the question. The bottom line is that the whole site is rigged, your answer below "You also appear to be confusing user activity levels with how much ratings are trusted. Ratings from active users are not necessarily any more trusted than anyone else's. Reputation reliability is determined from statistical analysis of the user's rating behavior. " sounds a bit contradictory. If a first time user rates a site badly how on earth can you base an opinion if you have no statistical data from them. It sounds very much like there are very few reviewers accepted and the rest are dismissed. Looking through your other answers would probably lead others to believe the same. It would be pointless for someone who had been scammed reporting to your site as it would be dismissed and if one of your favoured few like the site then it would still get a green flag. A site such as yours can never work as it is just too open to abuse.
Have used Delicious on Firefox for years but for the last few weeks it kills Firefox 7.01. Every time I try and log in it freezes Firefox and restarting Firefox or the computer does not fix it. What does is running Ccleaner. After running that and clearing out the caches Firefox works again. If this is what happens when someone buys a product then it would probably have been better to let it go under as there are alternatives that do work. I note it is still showing version 2.3.1 which is months old and several versions out of date so what ever tinkering took place by the new owners that screwed it up was not considered to be worth a new version number which is a shame as that version originally worked perfect and you cannot go back to it either. Very poor show AVOS as you have still not fixed it weeks after people started to report the problem.Reverting it back to how it was would be a good start as what you have done is just screw it up.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.1).
I like this addon but I have found with it turned on I cannot access many forums as the login goes wrong and is not recognised but the worst thing is that it causes Firefox to hang when shutdown. With this enabled when I shut down Firefox it disappears from the screen but continues to run in the background often using up vast sums of memory. By disabling this Firefox shuts down correctly. In view of the problems caused I have removed it as the con's outweigh the pro's. I have tried this several times to be sure and the problem only arose when I installed this.
To be honest this product does not even deserve one star. It is completely unfit for purpose and should never be presented in what is clearly an unfinished, bug ridden, totally unreliable format. I feel I could call trading standards and complain about this being misrepresentation in the name and unfit for purpose in its use. As its free I cannot but then you would never be able to sell this. Whoever designed it should hang their heads in shame. Without doubt the worst addon I have ever used for Firefox and thoroughly not recommended. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.4).
I used to use this on an earlier computer and it was great but not so now. I have tried it on two separate computers both running 32bit XP and it doesn't work on either. Installs fine, sidebar prompts to connect to Ebay, authorisation comes back successful but it never does connect. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.3).
Might or might not be good but it failed to work as an addon and also failed to integrate with the bookmarks toolbar via their site. I can only assume it is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.5 as it just doesn't work. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
It could be useful for many but because it takes a while to load after the search page is showing results it means that when you click a link on the search page it invariably does not work as the page is waiting for this addon to load so it actually slows you down. As the results that came through were of little use to me and it caused me delay in using the computer I have uninstalled it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.2).
Problems getting it to work and then finding out that it is completely unsecure makes it a big NO NO. Great idea but leave well alone if you value your privacy. Try DropBox or similar. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.98).
Cannot seem to get it to change to any colour that I pick, only the presets works. Better than nothing but could do with a help page. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.3).
Sounds good but some of the changes made are not good so it doesn't do what it says it does. After ten minutes I uninstalled it as I actually preferred the original scheme. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.1).
I have tried this before and it works brilliantly. I have tried Tabs Mix Plus before on both Firefox 2 and 3 but it screws up so many things each time that I junk it and come back to this. This just works every time. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.2.3).
For what it claims to do it fails miserably as it completely screwed up the copy and paste function, which I might add is considerably faster, to make itself work. Not recommended as it is very poorly thought out. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5.0).
It sounds great but appears to be impossible to use. No useful user info and what is provided misses so much out it is useless. Great opportunity to make something useful completely blown by a product that either doesn't work or they don't want you to use. Best avoided.
Very poor addon. It is not completely secure which defeats the object and is very unstable in Firefox 3. Caused the browser to freeze every time on three separate attempts. Has an effect on Delicious bookmarks as well so I cannot see anything going for it as it obviously doesn't work very well, doesn't do what you want it for and it screws up your browser. AVOID.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.0).
Brilliant add on. If you go to any giveaway sites then this is the thing to have. Get your freebie and if the site is any good you can then go back and use your real details. This has cut my emails by over 100 a day. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.10).
