This addon has made the customization tab MUCH more usable (especially after installing things like the "Toolbar Buttons" addon). Now I don't have to slowly scroll through the buttons pane trying to search for that one particular button that I am sure is somewhere in there. Great job on fixing a very annoying problem with Firefox! :-D
Well, that was very confusing. Tried the addon again and finally managed to get out of setup mode. Now I can get downloads working again. I can live with the "extras" being listed at the bottom. 5 stars to make up for the 1 star I gave previously, so it averages out to 3 stars. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed). What happened? I was having some problems with Youtube downloading, so I do a removal of this addon (which I liked and had for years, by the way), and then when I tried reinstalling it, I get a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT addon! What's with all the scammy stuff like "make firefox 15% faster" and other such "extras"? It doesn't even show any video links like it used to when I try clicking on the arrow. I so wish I had gotten the xpi of the older version when I had the chance. Now it's ruined. *cries*This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52-signed). This is awesome. I was scratching my head trying to figure out how to block an annoying social media popout that kept following me as I scrolled down a site and partially covered the site's text (horrible design!). This add-on made it dead simple to just select the annoying elements and have Adblock Plus block it. Thank you! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
Squee!! <3<3 I've been having problems trying to download vids from NicoNico Douga since the beginning of 2013 (NicoFox was not working anymore), and had pretty much given up hope... until now!
I had not been looking too closely at the add-on updates, but it seems that FVD works along with DTA (DownThemAll) to download vids now? The important thing is that FVD can download vids from the NicoVideo site.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this! It makes the comment threads so much easier to read through instead of click...click...click...backbackback...click...click...back...click...
The add-on wasn't working for me today for some reason (and Lifehacker was perpetually loading as well), but a reinstall of this add-on fixed everything. Hooray!!
Yes! Simply does what I wanted it to do. It was frustrating trying to figure out if an email was legit or not, but not wanting to have to actually open the email to check on the real address. Thank you!!
This addon has made searching much quicker and being able to assign my own favicons to each search engine is great! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed).
I've been using this theme for years and eagerly await v.4.0.10. Have tried other supposedly "compact" themes, but CC has been the only one so far that actually compacts the size of buttons in AIOS (All-In-One Sidebar) so I can easily fit in 23 buttons with space to spare in the vertical toolbar. Other themes for some reason pad out the buttons to take up the entire vertical toolbar and squish out my 23rd button off the screen. Classic Compact theme is awesome! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
I use AutoPager for most sites I want pagination for, but of course not all sites have AutoPager rules written for them (and I still have no clue how to make the rules), so this is a very convenient addon to have if AutoPager is not available or if I just want to have more control over how many pages get paginated. Perfect! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2011.03.24).
For those who miss using this theme, what's wrong with switching to the Classic Compact theme? (I used to use miniFoxFlat, too)
This is just what I was looking for. Thank you!
I use the SearchWP addon which changes each word inside the searchbar into individual clickable Find buttons. As buttons, they also take up more space horizontally.
So, I kept having trouble trying to clear the searchbar (especially when I have entered a lot of words) without clicking on the buttons. With your addon, clearing the searchbar is now a snap! :)
Thank you so much for this!
I had previously been using the "Custom Buttons 2" add-on so that I can use an old custom button that saved favicons from websites, but an incompatibility issue with "All-In-One Sidebar" forced me to look elsewhere.
Your extension is better in that I don't have to keep renaming every single "favicon.ico" I download.
Would be nice to be able to set the save dialog to go to a specific folder rather than wherever I last saved something else, but I'm just very grateful for what is currently there.
If you want to control your iTunes player from the browser, go get FoxyTunes (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/219). It's also skinnable, so it's possible to make it match the iTunes theme. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1).
Great simple extension that really comes in handy when I want my mouse cursor to stay in one place as i close through several tabs one at a time in sequence.
Yeah, I know there's a keystroke for closing tabs, but I'm not a keyboard person. :P
You can remove the Help Menu by just going into Menu Editor's Option settings, clicking on the drop-down list under "Edit menu", selecting "Help", and then unchecking the "Visible" checkbox.
Also, try out the "Advanced mode" setting to grab menu items from other menus to stick them into another menu. Thanks to this, I now have only the Bookmarks and Tools menus visible.
With Classic Compact Option (for the Classic Compact theme), these 2 menus have been further reduced to sub-menus of a single "Menu" item. Yay for compatibility!
Also, there's a "Customize Menus..." item (I think it's in the Tools menu area) that can be displayed that gives direct access to Menu Editor's settings.
Menu Editor has not only made things more compact for me, but also allowed me to arrange my menu options into a more intuitive hierarchy for my style of browsing. If Menu Editor were to stop working for Firefox, I am afraid of that my context menu may expand right off the screen.
I don't miss any missing favicons in my Context Menu, and don't allow DownThemAll to display at all in my Context Menu anyway, so I can't give an opinion on those problems.
So, all in all, 5 brilliant stars.
Unless you have an old mouse, the scrollwheel is also the middle-click button. If yours is not clickable, then you can either go out and buy a new mouse, or use ctrl+leftclick on links to open them in tabs. "ctrl" is a key that is usually found on the bottom left hand corner of a PC keyboard.
I didn't realize how much I wanted an add-on like this until now. I kept getting annoyed with weaving my way through my Bookmarks to click on bookmarks in the same neighborhood, but then kept forgetting about the annoyance to get on with surfing. THANK YOU!!!
*happy happy clicking*
