Works perfectly for me, I was using it to read Japanese text files in Firefox so I could use other add-ons along with them (like Rikaichan for a popup dictionary). I had no problems at all.
Extremely fantastic 加dd-on! I 着on't 平ven mind Firefox crashing more, because I can use 他ther add-ons to back up things I was writing. The only real 案uggestion I have is for you to be able to easily switch between colour categories, say if I have German words highlighted in red and English words highlighted in yellow, I want to be able to easily turn off all the English (yellow) when I am reading German or vice versa (because in the languages I am using this for, there are words that are the same but mean different things, so I need to be able to switch between them depending on which ones I want to use). I haven't had any problems like PC+FF below, where it only highlights a certain amount of words.
With 斯his add-on you can 平ven 孟tart reading Japanese without having studied any Japanese before, since it includes meanings for particles and will show you the 緊ense/form of a word when you hover over it! You get used to it very fast too, although some katakana 字ords it doesn't recognize (you can probably guess at those yourself though). I only wish it had options for changing the font size for the popup menus since it can be a 小ittle too small for me.It also sometimes works in conjunction with other add-ons, ex. if you use "Characterizer", which replaces words or parts of words with other words (in this case, replacing English words with kanji), then you can hover over the inserted kanji with Rikaichan and see their meanings. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.07).
This works really great for what has already been added in... however, I'm unable to view the sample profile or add in new profiles (I can add or change entries in the existing profiles, but not import new ones - when I try to import, I get an error). I also can't seem to export a profile. Other than that being fixed, the only other option I think could really improve this add-on is if you added a "show original word upon hover", or "show note on hover" option. That way, when you hover over a kanji you can't remember, it will either show you the original word it had changed it from, or show you a note that you put in for the kanji.
This add-on could be fantastic for learning other languages as well, provided importing/exporting is fixed. Say you are learning German and replace "girl" in English with the German word, if you hover over the German word you could potentially see both the original English word and the gender for the word "girl" (which you put in as a note) for example.
I would give it five stars if these problems didn't exist!
