Yuck! Adds Separate Toolbar Icon Rated 2 out of 5 stars
After install, Disconnect Search adds a separate toolbar icon to the upper left hand side of the browser instead of adding itself to the Firefox search menu like all of the other search engines do.
This is annoying for two reasons:
1) I don't need another icon crowding and cluttering up my toolbar.
2) The icon in that location requires me to mouse over and click it before searching rather than using the keyboard shortcut (cmd + K) that auto jumps to Firefox's search engine bar. As someone who spends a lot of time in the browser (and, as a result, is constantly battling RSI), that's a dealbreaker.
Uninstalled and went back to "Startpage Search".
Works in Firefox 7! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Forgot to mention that in my original review. :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11.1-signed.1-signed).

Where is your donate button? If it weren't for NoSquint, I'd be miserable! Please allow us to show you some support so you can keep this awesome and very necessary addon updated.
Dear Mozilla foundation: Your font rendering blows. Therefore, whatever version of Firefox works with NoSquint, that's the version I'm sticking with; in other words, if NoSquint doesn't go, I don't go.

Absolutely stunning! The only thing keeping this theme from sheer perfection is the fact that it uses gray text on the dark backgrounds instead of white text and the fonts are slightly too small. Users who run high resolutions on large monitors [I'm using 2560 x 1600] will have a hard time with this theme unless they sit uncomfortably close to the monitor.
Please update this theme for high res, large monitor users with a slightly larger font on the sidebar and white text on the dark backgrounds instead of gray.
Also, an error: Favicons and folder icons are messed up and smeary on the bookmarks menu. Thank you!

This theme is my favorite dark theme so far. It desperately needs to be updated because sometimes the text is covered in black on some menus. For ex: go to userscripts.org and if you have Stylish installed, click "Preview" on any dark theme. Whoops - look at that! All of the menu buttons are blacked out. (To cancel, hit the 3rd button from the left).
Annoyingly, this also happens on many other context menus. Please update this awesome theme!
Just misses... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Utopia White has a lot of potential, but the current version (3.10) just misses the mark. The ice white and coal black visual elements provide good contrast unlike the default Firefox theme, but there are several key areas of Utopia that lack refinement.
For example, the vertical scrollbar is a very dark, inky black pattern on a white background, yet the tabs -- arguably the most important visual feature of any browser since you have to read the tiny text within them -- are grey text on a pale grey background. Whoops! Not good. Grey text on grey backgrounds is very hard to read -- I wish every themer would get this simple fact through their head -- and certainly has no place in a theme called "Utopia White".
Another head scratcher is the Bookmarks Toolbar: I don't know about you, but I have folders and text on mine; it's the last place I want to see thin horizontal lines in the background. Text + background stripes = visual clutter. Please don't do that.
Also, the black spaces between tabs is too large and the feathered edges on the buttons looks sloppy.
Overall, I like this theme very much. The Bookmarks, Tools, and other menus are well-laid out and easy on the eyes. If those few faults mentioned earlier were fixed, this would be a 5 star theme.
[Tested on a MacPro running Leopard 10.5.5 and Firefox 3.1b1]
Works on Macs (sort of)... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Although it says it's not Mac compatible, this theme actually installed on my MacPro running OS 10.5.5 via FF 3.1b1. It looks gorgeous -- the text, colors, and favicons are very crisp and easy on the eyes.
There are a few quirks, however: the Addons window is dark with light text (as seen in the screenshots), but the Bookmarks, History, Tools and other menus are light backgrounds with dark text. Nevertheless, this theme is so nice looking, I'm going to stick with it for a while and hope for improvements. I'd like to see an option for menu text to be tweaked a bit lighter, as some folks find grey text on black backgrounds hard to read, especially when dealing with higher resolutions on large monitors.
Outstanding first effort, savaden -- keep up the good work!
