Does The Job [With Some Bumps] Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Having used Delicious for quite awhiile, I missed the tag-grouping feature that I had made much use of. This add-on pretty much replicates that function and, for me, I find it very useful.
There are a few rough spots, the most significant of which is explained by the author and seems to be attributable to the SDK. It's a bit inconvenient, but not a deal-killer. There is an option to right-click from the X-Tags drop-down menu and open Properties. Problem is the dialog box is empty.
When adding new tags to Firefox bookmarks, it is necessary to re-start the browser for X-Tags to recognize these new additions.
I should note that I'm running this under Windows 10 which shouldn't make a difference but, who knows.
Fix Please Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Just wanted to thank Samm for the hack. It works and it sticks. A couple of web sites act strangely, but not a show stopper. Most importantly back in action. 5 Stars for Samm; 1 star [0 is not an option] for delicious. Can't recommend it in its current state.
Wanted to also add my voice to those who urge the delicious folks to pay more attention to keeping their product current w/Firefox. I find that I rely on it and it makes me nervous [are they not paying attention or are there deeper problems] when the simple fixes posted by Mozilla Addon Comments folks trump what the company failed to do. This would be a dead product w/o the Addon Comment community.
UPDATE: 10/16/12 - This a.m. after booting up delicious failed to activate in Firefox. Went back and re-edited the two files noted above [added a space to each] and restarted. All is well, at least for today.
