I've recently started using this add-on, I used to use Ghostery, then Do Not Track Me, but became disillusioned with both of them (for reasons I won't go into here).
Disconnect seems to work faster than both Ghostery and Do Not Track Me, and suits my needs perfectly.
Support are really on the ball, Jessica in support answered my emails within minutes of me sending them. All in all I'm very please so far.
I really like this add-on and use it all the time, but with Firefox 29.0(Australis) looming, the add-on bar is going to be removed and users of this extension will no longer have access to the Clipple icon. Which will mean no way to delete or raise items to the top.
Please would the author of Clipple do an update to allow the icon to be moved. If the author no longer wants to update this would any other add-on developer take it on.
I would hate to have to stop using this, as there is no other add-on at present to beat the simple functionality of this one.
This is an excellent add-on, and the developer couldn't be more friendly and helpful. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4.2).
I really like this add-on.
I can move my add-on buttons over to VT, but can't figure out how to move my bookmarks there.
Any help would be appreciated.
I really like this add-on, but I've noticed that version 1.0.0b3 has been in beta for over a year. Do you still support this add-on, and if so when will 1.0.0b3 be finally be out of beta?
EDIT: August 28 2013, I guess as you have not answered my question this add-on is no longer supported!
To Khun Roger in the review below,
Why have you rated this one star, this is an extremely well written piece of software, and ultimately a very important weapon in any security conscious users arsenal.
To answer your question all your passwords, logins and masked emails are stored locally on your computer. If you want to use the same logins, Passwords, and emails on other computers, you can use the sync option, which uploads an encrypted version of that file to the MaskMe servers. The sync file is only readable by you and no one else, not even the MaskMe people.
Once you have installed the software there are options in the main menu too explain, Privacy & my Data, Quick Intro Video, and Getting Started Guide.
I hope this helps.
P.S. I'm not associated with MaskMe in anyway, I'm Just a normal users.
This is one of my favourite add-ons, the only thing missing that would make this perfect, is an option to allow the deletion of LSO super cookies.
Is that something you would consider for a future update.
When replying to a masked email, does the reply go to your servers first, at which point is the real, from email address changed for the mask.
I just want a little clarification.
I have only been using this program from today, but, I can't get over how good it is and how well it works.
SUPERB, FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT.
This is one of the best add-ons out there.
How do you send someone a new email for the fist time using a masked email address. (Not a reply).
P.S. I also use DoNotTrackMe
This add-on is fantastic, and is a great addition to any security setup in Firefox.
I have been trying to download Request Policy 1.0 beta from requestpolicy.com, when I click on the link it just returns a page not found error.
Will you please be kind enough to fix it, and then post back here.
Edit: I attempted to send you an email to email@example.com but that is not working as well.
Edit: The download link is now working. Thank you.
This is an excellent add-on and helps keep the invasive cancer that is Facebook, Twitter and several other social networking sites, at arms length.
I would like to make a few suggestions for a future update:-
1 Some way to change the order of the items in the black list.
2 A check box next to each item in the black list, so that each item can be turned on or off individually.
3 When the warning message appears telling you things have been blocked, it also tells you what elements from the black list are being blocked.
These three suggestions will make a superb add-on even better.
I really love this add-on and the way it protects you. It should be included in Firefox by default.
I have just one tiny problem, will you please consider moving the notification box up by about 0.5cm as it covers some of the icons in the add-on bar at the bottom of the screen. I realise you can reduce the time that it is visible, but sometime I want to click the bar just after a tab is closed and the notification box interferes with that.
This is one of my favourite Add-ons.
To asymptotictangent in the review below, have you tried the (Disable Anti-Adblock) add-on to help get around your problem.
This is a superb Add-on, I use it to block several sites.
To dr3adlok in the user review below, you are mistaken, there is a user interface for automatically blocking web sties. Just right click anywhere on the page of the site you want to block, and choose the option (Block This Site), then the site is automatically blocked for you.
P.S. I'm using version 1.0.19
This is one of my favourite add-ons, but since upgrading to version 0.4 the popup notification no longer tells you the number of destroyed cookies, It only tells you that cookies form a particular site have been destroyed but not how many. Is this a deliberate change or a bug. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
I like this add-on a lot. I see that version 0.7.1.1 is the current version, but that you have released version 1.1.5 but it has not been reviewed by Mozilla yet. Do you have any date when 1.1.5 will be reviewed and available as the latest version. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.1.1).
This is a fantastic add-on, but I have just started to use Firefox ESR version 17.0.5 and this add-on is no longer compatible. Is there any chance you would be able to make it compatible with Firefox ESR as I would hate to loose this excellent program. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.7).
This is an excellent add-on.
For all those people asking the author to create a toolbar button for quick access, Just create a book mark and add it to the bookmarks toolbar.
These sort of excellent add-ons are the main reason I use Firefox.
Scroll to Top has just had an update today you now have a choice of dual arrow icons as well as the single arrow, as well as quite a few other features. All I can suggest is you just try it you will not be disappointed.
Thank you for this great addon, I discovered it only last week and it has saved me so much time scrolling pages already.
I received the new update today, I really like the new dual arrow function. Might I suggest for a future update that you have a choice of dual arrows icons to choose from just like the single arrow.
Keep up the good work. This is now one of my must have addons.
