This addon is essential for a good Youtube experience.
The problem is that according to AMO the latest version is 2.1.0. I had 2.1.5 and it wouldn't update, but the latest version according to the official site is 2.1.7.
Since the latest version of Firefox, embedded Youtube videos don't work even if you "Disable embeds". That needs to be fixed.
Edit/update: It looks like this is fixed on the "developer version" you just need to find it on their website.
Pretty much an essential addon for me. The only problem I have is that lately using "double right click" to close tab sometimes causes some weird lag. Using double left click or single/double middle click is not so good because you can accidentally close a tab when you're trying to select text or accidentally open links in a new tab, respectively. Maybe the best option is triple left click, I have yet to try that one.
Edit: Raising score to 5 stars after developer response made me realize it's probably just some websites that are at fault. I will investigate which websites lag when using double right click to close tab.
To clarify, the problem is that some websites cause Firefox to stop responding for a good 4-5 seconds when using double right click to close tab. I suspect it's probably the right click menu which makes FF lock up for a few seconds. Sometimes I'm not sure if the problem was my timing or that FF stopped responding and I end up closing two tabs (I have another addon that gives me quick access to "Undo Close Tab" so it's not much of a problem).
Edit2: I confirm it seems to be an issue with FF itself, sometimes a tab takes ages to close even without using DCCT as the closing method. Furthermore I don't remember this issue happening with old versions of FF.
Amazing addon, now I can:
1. Open a video in a new tab for later viewing, like I do with all other webpages (don't know why Youtube thinks they are so special that you want to see the videos immediately).
2. Open multiple videos without the hassle of switching to each tab and pausing them.
This should be the default Youtube behaviour.
I was going to use this addon until I realized it doesn't support mouse buttons :/
Fantastic addon! Really useful, it makes the middle mouse button even more awesome in Firefox ^^
By the way, you should warn users that they need to disable the "Use autoscrolling" option in "Tools -> Options -> Advanced" for this addon to work correctly. It took me a while to figure that out
