Patch to Alert Invalid Addresses

Broken on 24.0.1 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Did this work in the past? I don't know. I had it loaded and there was never a complaint. However, I DO know it will prevent Thunderbird 24.0.1 Windoze from sending email. Disable/remove it if you want to run 24.0.1.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3).

Don't Send Linked Files

Doesn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does nothing on FF22 Windoze.

Map This

works well, obscures web pages Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works as described and is small.

However, it adds styling around the addresses which covers up parts of the source web page. Frequently covers up phone numbers and other important text around addresses.

ImportExportTools

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Confirmed: duplicate folder name issue exists with all versions of ImportExportTools even if it is the only add-on enabled.

QrCodeR

Suggestion for saving image Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Please add a link to the displayed image. When the user double-clicks on the image it would be loaded as a page. From there, the user can right-click and "save image as".

CommentBlocker

won't whitelist google.com part deux Rated 4 out of 5 stars

your listed email address isn't working.

I'm using Win7 x64 and x32 SP1, FF 13.0.1, CommentBlocker 3.0.4

google.com is being ignored by whitelist

The text you chose for the prompt for entry into the whitelist is "URL".

Your reply on mozilla's site stated the entries should be domains.

Suggest you change the prompt and include an example in the prompt.

CommentBlocker

won't whitelist google.com Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I generally like this a lot but it won't accept http://www.google.com or https://www.google.com in the whitelist. You can add them, yes, but CommentBlocker happily ignores those entries and blocks some parts of the page by default. The part it blocks MUST be enabled for Google.com to work properly.

TweeQuilla - Twitter for Thunderbird

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

New Account Types 14.0 breaks TweeQuilla. Fix needed for TweeQuilla.

StackOverflowiser

Appers to work - annoying icon Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This appears to work properly. Permanent vanity icon in the add-on bar reduces rating to 3 stars.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (initial.rev106.2).

Status-4-Evar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I HATE the way newer builds of FF removed the status bar. If I wanted a user-stupid browser, I'd use chrome. There are, however, a few improvements which would be nice: 1) ability to rearrange add-on icons 2) ability to remove specific add-on icons (no-function vanity types like TheCamelizer, StackOverflowizer and less desired ones) - perhaps a S4E icon for an extended meu of these 3) checkbox options to remove download status indicators. These are superfluous with non-FF download managers)

clearHTTPStatus

doesn't hide in status bar Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Option to prevent display in status bar is ignored.

edit: Windows XP x32 and Windows 7 x64, Firefox 6.02

recipefox

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

works great except it thinks Java 7 is Java 1.7 and won't run with 7.x JRE. Support site's captcha is screwed up, too. When it is fixed to support JRE 7.x I'll give it a 5 again.

StockFox

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

StockFox 1.3.2 is set so the max version of FF is 4. It does not, be default, support FF 5 or 6. There is also some weirdness happening with FF5. The ticker toolbar can be shown but is frequently empty. In that case, the first two contect menu options, "View Details" and "Edit stocks and preferences..." lead to empty windows. wrt the previous complaint about a 15 minute delay, there is nothing which stops the complainer from paying for real-time data.

Readability

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Follow the developer's link and you get redirected to readabilty.com where the Firefox addon has a version of 1.6?!?! That site was showing version 1.5 until a couple of days ago. Now the addon here has been updated from 1.3 to 1.3.5. What's the deal?

FfChrome

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Nearly indispensable HOWEVER the enable/disable list is quite awkward to configure when there are a lot of extensions. It would be nice to have an outline view where each extension has its options as sub-categories. Select all and remove all options for the entire set as well as each extension would also be helpful.

SearchGBY (Google, Bing, )

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Tray icon is nice but should be only the logo. Adding links at the bottom of the page conflicts with AutoPager. They shoul dbe moved to the top.

Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out (TACO)

Reverting to 2.x builds Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm also reverting to the 2.x version. This "upgrade" uses about 40 custom graphic files which are saved by the various enhanced "save page" addons. It's like most other "suites", bloated.

Right-Click-Link

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

jhcaiced's comment is correct. This only works on an existing install which is upgraded to 3.6 and does not work properly with a raw 4.6 installation. It will install but no entry in the context menu.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.3).

Screengrab

works but visually cluttered and incomplete Rated 4 out of 5 stars

author claims the status bar icon can be disabled with a setting in about: config. Nope. It doesn't work. That icon does NOTHING but occupy space. Dumb.
