This is one of the simplest add-ons I have ever used. When I checked other users' reviews, I saw that there are not too many. So I thought "Why not I write one?".
Firstly, I can say that there are no defects associated with this add-on. It simply fulfills its functions, that is, just redirect to our specified homepage while opening Firefox and while opening a new tab in Firefox.
Its a simple, plain and still one of the best add-on, considering the limit of the function it serve.
And there is a suggestion too. It would be better if Firefox was preinstalled with this function, as there is not much work to be done by this add-on. Its function can be handled by Firefox by default itself.
The scary memories of advertisements popping up, lives in my mind no more. The things which I am going to describe here maybe like a lengthy article, but all those are about how Adblock saved me!
Those were the days when each day, tens and hundreds of ads popped up on each and every site. The situations were different. Sometimes I had to face ten or more ads popping up inside a video or live streaming media, and I only had the time for closing all those pop-ups rather than watching the video.
Another instance is, whenever I accessed a link from a site, predominantly shopping sites, though my shopping was a success, I got shocked whenever I looked down to my taskbar for closing Firefox. The taskbar was flooded with a bunch of unworthy ads most of which were spam.
All these incidents are only in my dreams at present! Hasta la' vista' Ads! Thanks to Adblock Plus!
Cons: I must say that not all the ads while playing video was got rid of. After installing Adblock Plus too, I faced certain ads at times. So I had to download another add-on called "Updated Ad Blocker for Firefox 11+". And I can honestly say I have never been troubled with any more ads in my Firefox life again!!
Highly recommended for all the users!!
The major aim I had in my mind while installing FoxTab was to show my friends, who keep boasting of Google Chrome's merits over Firefox, that how much Firefox had its upper hand over Chrome. And in a way, my aim was almost fully attained, though there are some bugs.
Good: The interface of the Foxtab and its functionality to save time, was the key features that attracted me at first sight. Our Most Used sites could be added to the FoxTab page by a simple methodology. And that was quite cool as well.
Cons: It would have better if showed the page name like 'Facebook', 'Google', etc on top of the Top sites, because I felt the small screenshots given on the Foxtab page was too small to be identified quickly.
Often Foxtab got hanged. I tried to edit and save the page again, which was of no use.
It would have been better if Foxtab was a bit more interactive.
Overall, Foxtab serves its functions pretty well.
