If possible, Seven needs an update to become fully compatible again with Stratiform 1.3.1 in FF8 — tab form or shape is non-compliant as are buttons.
Your work is much appreciated!
Here's hoping this excellent Add-on will soon be released for compatibility with F5.
Gratitude to you Jonah Bishop!
Plain out beautiful; as elegant a theme for Firefox as there can be. Since v1.1 — I believe — excellent compatibility with Stratiform. Hope these two will work as well in Firefox 5 …Thank you SoapyHamHocks!
P.S. Contribution richly deserved and made.
Very promising, beautiful theme.
When tabs are set 'Below', Seven does a slightly opaque transparency of the Bookmarks toolbar and Tabs background; reminiscent of a possible setting in the last Strata40 & StrataBuddy.Elegant.
As a wishlist item, it would be really nice to make Seven and Stratiform fully compatible. That might allow tuning of active/inactive Tab colors, etc. to the delight of each user's heart.
Thank you SoapyHamHocks!
P.S. Correction: it is the case that Stratiform will adjust numerous UI elements of Seven very well; the one area in which I am detecting a problem is the overall form of the Tabs; Stratiform appears to overlay its Tab shapes — hope this is a bug not too difficult to work out.
With this update FXChrome achieves uncompromising elegance:
Light transparency for inactive tabs; when tabs are set below (not on top), full transparency behind the Navigation & Bookmarks tool bars; new light grey divider for Bookmarks sidebar; and much lighter blue background for the Bookmarks sidebar.
Very good work dkgo — gratitude in all directions.
Thank you very much for your fine work. I am beginning to accept that the Chrome sloping tab design is more effective than v4's rectangles. A previous review mentioned that a simulation of Chrome's native tab-move animation would be nice: Yes but not necessary.
Personally, I would love to be able to alter and tweak the colors of the background of the Bookmarks bar and the vertical left-side panel which displays all Bookmarks (Sidebar?).
Perhaps I detect a bug: the anti-aliasing of text in the Bookmarks bar is not as clean as that of the default theme. Actually, I notice this in the Sidebar as well.
Thank you again!
Thank you for reading my review. This is what I mean: indeed the frame of Firefox 4 does Windows 7 transparency. However, the background of the Bookmarks Toolbar does not; it is a solid fill.
Refer to Strata40 & StrataBuddy 0.6.2 — StrataBuddy > Options > Window > 'Aero Glass' + Tabs > "Alt tab background'
The combination above renders a slightly opaque transparency to the Bookmarks Toolbar which contrasts with the near 100% transparency of the other Window UI elements and is very elegant. This is the option I would be grateful to see a future version of Stratiform provide for Firefox 4.
Since I am wishlisting here, it would also be nice to independently adjust the color of the background of the vertical Bookmarks panel . . .
All good wishes!
Thank you for building this extension. Very nice to fine tune the color of Tabs in Firefox 4 RC1.
Would be lovely for a future version to offer the 'Aero Glass' option for Window of StrataBuddy!
The 'Combined Stop Reload Go' button in 0.6.2 restores important functionality.
I still find it weird that addresses drag from the Tabs now.
Otherwise, StrataBuddy 0.6.2 + Strata40 0.6.1 are working very well and the Aero interface is beautiful.
